Seems that they're early with the playoff tix invoice this year, but I suppose it's possible we could host a wildcard game. As always, they require payment for two games up front. Damn the economy, full-speed ahead!

So what are the prices this year? I read somewhere that the NFL was going to reduce postseason ticket prices. Although it's probably a moot point this season as this years regular season tickets are probably more than last years postseason tix.

When we beat Pitt, us or the Jets will be in the #2 seed with a first round bye and second round home game.
I dont expect us to lose again, and I am confident the Jets will either:
Lose 2 more times or
Lose once to either Buffalo or Miami

I expect us to be the #2 seed.

My seats are in 122 which are $117 per tic. The playoff bill was $279 so about $140 per tic. I want to say thats right around what I paid last year.

I agree with your assessment. I will be greatly surprised if New England ISN'T the #2 seed.

Respects,

Two seats two games = $552 for me. Can't recall what it was last year. The included $22 "handling fee" is a bit of a rip if you ask me.

Playoff Invoice

I received mine yesterday. Total cost is $1,117.00 and is due on December 12th. I don't plan on spending the money. Who is going to make the payment?

For those who don't have season tix here is how it works:

1). Season ticket holders must pay for both playoff games (wildcard/divisional & championship game).

2). The NFL sets the prices. My seats in Section 135 are $174 each for the wildcard/divisional game & $189 each for the Championship game.

3). If the Pats don't host a game, or only host one game, the remaining balance will credited toward my 2009 season ticket invoice.

Here is the blurb from the letter I received from the Pats.

CREDITING PLAYOFF PAYMENTS:

If a Wildcard game is played at Gillette Stadium, a $5 per ticket credit will be applied to your Patriots 2009 Season Ticket Invoice. Also, if less than two games are played at Gillette Stadium, the unused ticket balance will be applied to the 2009 season. Please note that only the ticket price will be applied. Handling charges are non-refundable and will not be applied against your account.

BTW: Handling charges are $28 if you pay by Visa (only credit card accepted by the Pats) and $10 if you pay by check. Cash is not accepted.

Re: Playoff Invoice

If I lived up in Mass. I would gladly pay the money.

That is a lot of coin to spend 2 weeks before Christmas considering the Pats may not make the playoffs and if they do they will probably be on the road.

The thing that bothers me is the due date. I have friends who have Jets season tickets and they get until the 15th to make payment. The 15th is a Monday and that leaves 2 games left. Us Pats fans have to make the decision on a Friday with 3 games left.

Re: Playoff Invoice

Oh, I am jealous
I have been trying to get the best deals all year on seats.
Usually find 1 seat two days before the game....
I understand your pain....is that for 2 seats
can you sell them???

You will get your chance to purchase great tickets if the Pats host a playoff game as I doubt 50% of season ticket holders will spend that kind of money for something that isn't guaranteed.

If the season ticket holders don't buy playoff tickets they go back to ticketmaster.

Re: Playoff Invoice

We just got our invoice too. I forgot but we HAVE to pay or we forfeit our season tickets??!!

God Bless America.

You don't forfeit your season tickets - only the playoff tickets.

Any one have any idea how much a basic Super Bowl week end for 2, minus air fair costs?

I don't get it. You have to pay now? What if... knock on wood...we don't make the playoffs?

They apply the unused balance (minus the hefty "handling fees") to your season ticket account next year. It's a great way for Bob Kraft to invest your money for 6 mos. instead of you.

All teams do it that way and have for years, just like pre-season games............if you like the NFL and season tickets, pay your money.

No one is forcing anyone to go...plenty of people are on the waiting list.

Maybe, some day, when there are seats available, things might change, don't count on it.

I understand but we don't have to like it.
