Call it a hunch, but I think AD might be back this week in a limited role. I thought of leaving time for you guys to yell and scream at me for my lunacy before backing myself up, but I don't know if my self-confidence could take the hit today, lol.

Mike Vrabel Post Game Press Conf Transcript

This is the post-game presser from Vrabel's first game back (I believe) after breaking his arm in 2003.

Anyone remember how long he was out?

3 Weeks.

Its possible, but I dont think they will risk it. Its hard to compare similar injuries because no one know the severity of one versus the other. I dont expect to see him back until closer to the playoffs. But I would love to see him back if he is ready to go.

I would not count on it...I think maybe a few weeks too soon...BUT it would be nice..

I don't think he'll be back this week, but I don't think we've seen the last of AD this season.

It's only been 3 weeks - I'm hoping to see him 3 weeks from now when we get back from the west coast and play Arizona.

your mention of his re-emergence is the first i've heard of this. I dont know how bad the injury was/is so I cannot really comment on it. however, his return would be great, even if for just 10 plays

I think AD had surgery and Vrabel didn't. I am not sure on this. I think it will slow AD's return.

not in my opinion but let's see...

That seems really unlikely considering it was speculated initially he'd be out for the year. I just like the fact he can come back at all.

If he's at all able to go, play him. I don't care what the medical staff has to do.

We have to make the playoffs first and the only way to ensure that is to win out. Yes I am panicking at the thought of us not playing in Jan.
As things stand right now, there's no margin for error and I have a feeling that the Pats' braintrust isn't thinking "given what happened to Brady, etc. we're just escstatic we even had a chance to compete, much less make the playoffs."

In fairness, it was speculated on by the Adam Schefters of the world that had and have no information on the injury. I might speculate that I'll be eating turkey off Marisa Miller's abdominals tomorrow, but I really have no reason to believe it other than it's physically possible.

We all hope he plays. God knows the defense needs his help. As usual, hoewever, I have seen nothing remotely credible about the seriousness of his injury (other than "broken arm"), whether or not he had surgery, or the recovery period. Unless someone has this sort of information froma reliable source, all of this talk is just uninformed speculation.

Why not.
After seeing the horrific forearm injury Seau suffered last year, I thought he would be done but he came back.
AD is younger and maybe the break wasn't as severe.
I hope. The Pats are going to need AD.

I think geting hit by a meteor is more likely than AD this Sunday.

On the optimistic side, I always said that AD could be back by late December. Get in a final regular season game or two, so he'll be ready for the playoffs. If the fickle Football Gods punish us by eliminating us by around game 14, I don't expect to see him back this season.

Seau came back the following year though. He was IRed that season. I doubt the break was as severe or AD would be IRed right now.

Players not spotted at the media-access portion of practice included:

WR Kelley Washington

DL Richard Seymour

OLB Adalius Thomas

At least Jordan is back.

You're right. My bad.
Still, I thought that injury would end his career.
Came back for the entire 07 season. That man is a warrior.

Getting back to AD...maybe not this Sunday but in time for the play off push he'll be out there.

Call me old-fashioned, but I'd prefer his arm heal before we throw him back out there.

Only if they go to the afc championship game is he coming back, if then.
