The Patriots are a stunning 4-0 when I post in these threads before a game. And they are a measely 3-4 when I don't.

Therefore I am going to vote Pittsburgh Squealers and expect full credit if we win on Sunday.

I'm glad to have been of service in this regard. However, I personally would like to see folks use a little more imagination in their choices vs. the same boring old nicknames.

A Mewelde (moldy) Berger with Hines

My personal choice is the Pittsburgh Sheilas.

No team has choked more often than my Steelers. They had the best team in the AFC at least 3 times w/o making it to the SB. That point can not be argued, meaning they choked.
The steroid argument would hold more credence if the use weren't so wide-spread both then and now. There can be no doubting that the steeler teams of the 70's were juiced. I know it and so does the rest of the world.

The football world believes that the pats were cheating throughout their run. It spread to illegal audio contact in the helmet of brady. It doesn't change that they won. The Pats won 3 SB's. The steelers have won 5. The Pats have, for the most part, owned the Steelers in the past 10 years. Has that been due to cheating? Can't say for certain. It is a possibility.

The bottom line patriot fans are jealous of the success of the Steelers. Steeler fans resent Patriot fans who act like they win the SB every year.

The Spygate argument would hold more credence if the use weren't so wide-spread. See Johnson, Jimmy and Shanahan, Mike.

I've got to be honest with you about something. I don't know even one Patriots fan that is jealous of the success of the Steelers. I'm sure that some exist somewhere, though.

I live here in New England. I see the jealousy personally and on the net. I'm on steeler boards and see the trolls come over and reek of jealousy. I read this board and the jealousy spills over. Here in little Rhody there are tons of Steelers fans, and the Pats fans are embarassingly jealous. They are jealous of the national following the Steelers have, the respect, the long-term success. The Pats had a nice run, but it seems to be over.

Believe it or not, most Pats fans will wipe their ass with what the rest of the country thinks about the team.

I live in R.I.

the only Squealer fan I'm aware of is Andy Gresh

Mr. Roarke, is that you?

The Squealtown Towel Heads

I do hate being associated with that loud-mouthed idiot. When Gresh was in HS he once literally crapped his pants during the game. He used to get manhandled by guys who weighed 100 lbs less than him. I know almost as many Steeler fans as pats fans.

As I said, other teams have more championships than the Steelers. Nobody has reason to be jealous of a team the Patriots routinely have beaten throughout the decade.

Rooney's Gooneys is my choice

Excellent point about the championships. Before Chuck the Steelers were well like the patriots, that is to say pathetic. Since 1972 the Steelers have been consistently one of the best teams in the league. The Patriots have had little runs of success to be sure. They have had much more down time however. The fact remains the Steelers have won a championship more rcently than you have.

I regard the SeaHags as the winners of that game. Worst officiating ever in a SB. Gotta hand it to 'clutch' Rthlsbrgr, steped up bigtime with a what 22 QB rating? Thankfully, the officials kept him from being the SB goat.

I find it hard to believe that a pats fan would rag on a team about questionable calls. the Pats have been the beneficiary of very questionable officiating. No I am not talking about the tuck rule. The 2001 playoff run was by far the worst officiating in any sport ever. Again not referring to the tuck rule.

BINGO :D

10chachas

Do you mean SB goat like Brady last year after running his mouth?

The officials didn't help HIM out though, which is the point Pissah alluded to in his post.
