Belichick running up the score

In the random chance we were tied with the Fish, wouldn't score differentials be an issue? Why not give The Firm some more numbers and pad the score...

This thread pretty much makes my point of Dolphins' Fans making Jets' Fans look like MENSA Members and that's a really hard thing to do.

Sucks for them they their fans and team thought they were gonna stomp us and, instead, all they have to talk about is how we ran up the score.

Just a bunch of juvenile delinquents crying.

How does Joey Porter get any chicks with a grill like that? See that pic in the first post?

You know I was thinking about that call to go for it on 4th and I made that call before Belichick did, in all honesty....

Say we kick a field goal and that puts us up 44-28. On the ensuing kickoff we kick to Ginn and he takes it to the house (let be honest he was looking good in the return game yesterday), they go for two and now it is down to aone possession game. They are successful on the on-side kick, get the ball back and score (our secondary was not rock-solid yesterday), go for 2, then it is a tie game.

Belichick was playing it smart. I would have rana 4th play there as well, even if we didn't make it in it would have run time off the clock and they would have had to go the length of the field.

He didn't run anything up, just playing % football. Anyone who says otherwise dosn't really know the game that well....including the dufus in Miami....

Belichick has already said that he feels kicking the field goal in that situation is more insulting to the opposing defense than going for it. At least if he goes for it, it gives the defense a chance to stop the drive.

Besides, Parcells is on record that if a team doesn't want the score run up on them, stop the opposing offense from scoring.

That would be a tricky spot to punt from, lol...

A few fans had some sense, one kept saying, all the Phins had to do was stop the Pats and they didn't. It's wasn't the Pats fault, it was the Phin D's fault. He was practically burned at the stake......

They could have taken a knee, but I think they wanted to run by Joey Porter one last time, especially after his two penalties.

They gave him a chance to double his total of tackles. Kind of funny that he was probably offsides on his only tackle (and only MENTION) of the day.

What a whiner! The ONLY way the Pats can lose at that point was if a FG gets blocked/returned for a TD, followed by a recovered onside kick and a score. That is about the ONLY way.

The Pats are trying to win. They go for in on 4th down, and either score, in which case they have won, or they get stopped and the Dolphins have to go 98 yards for a score.

It's a no brainer and anybody who whines is a born loser.

why is it the Patriots are the only team that people accuse of this. Yesterday i watched Buffalo score 54 points on the Chiefs. A few weeks ago the Jets did it to the Rams. Nobody said a thing.

Because of last year....IMO.....seeing we destroyed teams last year the entire NFL has had it out for us......

Heh,

Anyone else notice how empty the stadium was by the 4th Q? At the start of the 4th quarter, the overhead camera pulled back, and it looked like 3/4 of the seats were empty. Orange seats was all you could see with scattered sections of fans here and there.

respects,

i hate this. i hated it last year. if you dont want a team to run up the score, THEN STOP THEM!!!!!!!

that simple

Yeah, I bet Pats fans are embarrassed that they don't have a more sensitive coach.

How many times have you been at a game where the crowd was roaring because a coach had class?

Please!

Didn't we lead 31-13 in the last one and then stuck another one in to win 38-13?

You didn't have a problem with that one did you? I bet you thought it was up to them to stop US right?
