I just heard Cris Collinsworth say that at half-time of the Chargers/Colts game! You gotta be kidding!

All he's gonna do is get Jets fans all riled up only to be let down in the end.

The Jets are going to be in the Super Bowl!

He's not the first to say that today. There is already talk of an all NEW YORK Super Bowl, and if Roger "Jets" Goodell wants it to happen, it will be so.

It's not that laughable, they're arguably the best team in the AFC right now.

While of course, I myself and most everyone else here still believes we are very evenly matched with the Jets - their record speaks for itself and they just blew out the previously undefeated Titans by 21 points on the road.

They've also beaten 5 teams with a winning record, with four of those games being on the road.

I know all that disco...but my point is

They're the Jets:eek:;)

Don't be fooled by today's victory. It was a great win, but it doesn't mean the are the best team in the AFC since they've lost 3 games one to the Patriots with a handicapped (at the time) QB!

I for one wouldn't quite laugh at that notion. The AFC is so wide open that it wouldn't surprise me to see the Jets OR the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
The problem is whoever represents the AFC would have to beat the Giants, Cowboys or Bucs. I don't see any AFC playoff teams right now that could beat a healthy Cowboys team or Giants team. Maybe one could beat the Bucs but their defense is playing pretty good right now and the offense does enough to get it done.

If the Patriots make it to the playoffs the easiest road is through the Meadowlands. I'm sure we will all agree about that. The Jets are just like the Titans............FRAUDS. The team that scares me the most is the Colts. If they get a bit healthier watch out.

The only "Cream of the crop" team in the NFL right now is the Giants. The Cowboys don't compare to them.

lol!! Ok, so we agree.

I will say anything can happen this year. We need to play more solid defense, that's for sure.

The AFC is as wide open as Eric Mangini bent over in front of a Chip & Dales dancer.

surely you JEST

i dont think its that impossible
firstly they might have a first round bye. they are also only 2 games behind tennesse who have to still play pitt and ind so as improbable as it sounds they can have the 1st seed in the afc.
with a first round bye, 1 win and you are in the AFCCG. So as much as we hate the jets, this is a very real possibility.

That's just NASTY man, just nasty.

I feel bad for the guy, most people choose not to give a rat's ass. :(

Luckily for a small fee, he can have his rat's ass deepest desires fulfilled.

Not surprising at all, the New York/Bristol-based media getting themselves into a tizzy over the Jets. I just hope we get those big bad Green-Meanies in the playoffs.

The Jets are the hot team of the day. There has been about 15 of them throughout the season who have been the rising team to beat. The Pats were an overtime coin flip last week of being that team today.

Yes, they were impressive in beating the Titans. Although I thought the Titans are a great team, they are not as good as their record and they are not a team that can come from behind.

I think the Jets are a top team right now, but I think they are pretty on par with the Pats and several other teams. Their defense is still suspect even if they can shut down a Titans' offense that isn't all that impressive.

*chippendale

and that's an awful visual right there! *puke*

I prefer to spell-it-out Chip & Dales, like the two cartoon chipmunks - closely related to Mangini rodent roots.

I don't see it, but with the string of bad luck, it would be fitting.

2005 - The Steelers, a hated AFC rival of the Patriots, win the Super Bowl

2006 - The Colts, another hated AFC rival of the Patriots, win the Super Bowl, at the Patriots' expense, in gut wrenching fashion

2007 - The Giants, New York area team with a Manning at the helm, wins the Super Bowl, also at the Patriots' expense, in even more gut wrenching fashion

...

2008 - The Jets, another New York area team, with the rat fink Mangini, and the drama queen Favre, wins the Super Bowl, also at the Patriots' expense, in an even more gut wrenching fashion than the previous two years???

Perish the thought! Ugh.
