WOW, this officiating crew is crap

Goodell hires them

What exactly is your problem with them?

Did you watch this game? 2 bs pf calls on Neal and Bruschi setting up Miami for a TD. 2 picked up flags for no foul. 1 giving Miami extra time that led to a TD.

Honestly, if you thought these guys did a good job...go back to sleep. They called the game like a bunch of, no crap, rookies. Every other play there was a flag. Wrong game to break in the new guy. It didn't come back to bite us, but it could have. The officiating this year has been a complete joke.

My sentiments too.

I haven't seen an obviously bad call.

I didn't like the holding calls against either the Patriots or the Dolphins.

Those weren't holds by Koppen and on Wilfork.

Refs were a bit, um, green.

There's almost no such thing as a bad holding call, given how often players really hold ...

Riveron is a 1st year Referee. That being said, the overall job they did was good. Did they have some questionable ones? Yes. But every crew of officials has questionable calls every week.

Its not like they called all the ticky-tack penalties.. They tried their best to let the boys play, as a whole.

I think the calls where bad on both sides. Bruschi's late hit was actually Meriweather pushing the guy out of bounds before he even stepped out, and Moss's TD with the PI was pretty bad imo.

Also, Pennington's rushing TD his knee was down at least a yard before he got in, but were probably going to rush it in anyway.

This is the second time the Pats have been assigned these ****heads this year. What a joke.

If you want horrible officiating, turn on the Denver/Oakland game. The officials are throwing the flag damn near every play. And most of it IS the ticky-tack garbage that shouldn't be called. OH, and they are clearly favoring the Broncos.

Holding inside the numbers isn't holding at all.

That's the point.

If you're going to call that, then be prepared to watch as a flag is thrown on every play.

Nothing new there.

Funny you mention it. Randy Moss mauled the defender near the end zone, got seperation because of it, caught the touchdown, then the MIAMI player got penalized.

Haha; the officiating was indeed a joke. But in the Pats favor.

Moss didn't "MAUL" Goodman nor did Randy get separation because of it. Moss' arm, while UP, did not push on Goodman. In fact, Goodman got called because he had his left arm out in an ARM BAR which was preventing Moss from running forward. So, YES, the Miami player was properly penalized. This was mentioned during the broadcast if you'd actually been paying attention.

I was at the stadium; Dan Diedorf isn't exactly the say all that ends all either.

The ref was pulling the flag before the throw even went up; he was throwing a flag regardless.

It probably didn't make the "difference" in the game. Yeah it swung momentum and cost the Dolphins four points, but who knows if our defense would've held up in a key situation late.

How is putting your hand on somebody's shoulder without affecting their running or ability to catch the ball a penalty?
