Anyone watch that game against Wake Forest. I hadn't seen BC all year and was impressed by the offensive line and that one linebacker (the one who jumped up and sneared the pass point blank and turned it in for a score). Forgot how many picks the guy has all season. My question, is this guy a contender for the Patriots?

The linebacker is Mark Herzlich. Great player, but only a junior. I doubt he'll come out early.

He is insane and the perfect prototype 3-4 OLB. FWIW, even the announcer made a comment that he would be a great fit in NE. ;)

I wouldn't be so sure that he won't come out ... draft pubs I'm reading have him touted at the #1 OLB and a first round pick, possibly even high first pending combine, etc.

I think he comes out, and IMO, the only bright side to missing the playoffs would be the team would be in striking distance of drafting him.

Herzlich is doing it again. He just picked the Maryland qb, going to the ground to make a great pick. Not sure I remember a LB that good in coverage. Earlier he made a nice rush for a sack. I would really like to see him in a Pats uniform.

Went to the game yesterday and I hadn't been in a long time. I forgot how good of a venue it is at BC. There isn't a bad seat in the place since it's so small. Very good game and perfect conditions. No wind temp at game time around 36 and finished around 30.

I was interested in seeing Raji to see how he would project as an NT in the pros since he has similar size to Wilfork. I think he'll make a better 4-3 DT on this small sample. It's much easier to watch line play from the vantage point I had than it is on TV. We were on the 15 yard line 18 rows back. He likes to get up field and push the pocket, and does so well, he also flows to the ball well but he didn't anchor in against double teams very well. Granted he's not playing NT so you never know.

Mark Herzlich is another interesting prospect. He's list at 6-4 238 but seems much bigger. He can play in space, set the edge and rush the passer. If he can add a few pounds he could be a decent 3-4 prospect. Good hands on the pick as well. Very intense and got the student section rocking.
