Wow... he's giving up the FIRST ring?!? Pretty amazing story.

I'm gonna get in on this for sure: https://www.celebritiesforcharity.org/raffles/RaffleID_SuperBowlRing.cfm

Thought this was a very cool line:
Cherry wants his story to inspire other people to do whatever they can to help make the world a better place. And it doesn't necessarily mean giving up something as precious as a Super Bowl ring.

"It doesn't matter what it is, you can have a role and a part, and you can make a difference," he said. "I totally believe that. The Patriots of 2001 proved it."

Yesterday's news - A nice story but a bit old

A wonderfull story about a man of fine character. I wish the very best for him and those he's helping.

Did they ever have the drawing for this? I remember I bought a couple of tickets back in August or whenever.

For all of you who like to bash Peter King ... he mentioned this in his column this week to try and help increase reaffle ticket sales.

What is the % paid on winning prizes in the US? The cash prize in addition to the ring (which is used to pay the IRS) is quite large ...

I love this story - it may be old to some of us but I'm glad to see it has a second wind. Je'Rod is an awesome individual.

Good story. After hearing so much garbage about NFL players off the field, nice to hear about good guys finally.

I didn't realize that it was mentioned by King to promote it...as opposed to a first story....I love the idea as well....Had not realized when the date was...BUMP this thread!!!

isnt this guy like a financial advisor or something. anyway its great to see former pats players do something after football
