Foster works out

He was in camp with the Dolphins earlier this year.....he should help with preparations this week.

Team will be sick and tired of chasing this guy all week, no doubt.

So, the 49ers just stole OL Jacob Bender from our P-Squad

I wonder if Foster fills the empty spot?

He actually doesn't look that fast to me. Does anyone know if he went to the combine and what his numbers were ? He certainly doesn't look Chris Johnson fast, Or even Leon Washington fast. But I do like the idea that he can line up as a QB or RB (or WR), and then run or pass.

'"Every team in the NFL screwed up not drafting this kid. Miami will find out just how fortunate they are when they get the ball in his hand, he's the best player in America, better with the ball than (Darren) McFadden," said Joel Turner, Foster's agent.'

Not that he's biased or anything ...

Maybe....OR maybe not....

From that video it appears that his acceleration is more impressive than his top-end speed.

Yeah, he looks like a slippery little bugger, too.

He is legit fast 4.34 the same as Chris Johnson.

Sign him up.

Are you accusing him of hyperbole?

Do you know what "bugger" actually means? :D

I know what it meant 25 years ago and I know what it means now.

So I wasn't judging his moral character. My bad.

I just think it's a funny word, that's all. Lots of people use it without knowing what it means.

OK, I'll bugger off now.

LOL. Well if you're taking it literally, don't do it.

Kinda makes you reconsider telling people to frig off, too...

What are we gonna do with a small, agile, quickly accelerating WR?

Ok, no more rediculous comparisons from me.

Edit: Oh and we're picking him up from the Phins.

Something to do with Watergate?

My first thought was the same (and I wondered whether he was playing in a conference that didn't allow tackling). Then it occurred to me that it might have had something to do with the very heavy field he appeared to be playing on. The combine numbers show that he is pretty fast.

The Pro-day numbers KFFL reported are just a tad slower, but respectable:
NFL | Foster works out at Pro Day
Thu, 27 Mar 2008 18:22:19 -0700

Joel Turner has confirmed to KFFL that Georgia Southern QB Jayson Foster measured a height of 5-foot-7 1/2 and a weight of 173 pounds at his Pro Day. His hands measured 10 1/4 inches. He measured a 37-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-6 broad jump and completed 11 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.40 and 4.42 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.12 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.81 seconds.
I find his hand size to be notable.

Miami tried him as a WR, Jacksonville apparently had him do CB drills. It will be interesting to see if he is signed and how our coaches will use him.

Pfft, like we need another cornerback... :rolleyes2:
