Per Reiss...Bender signed with the Niners...thus a spot on the PSquad was open...maybe for Foster??
Also of note was that Seymour was missing in practice today so not sure what is going on there. Hopefully a day off and nothing more..or some minor injury. Never a good sign to see a starter out.

Last series in OT VS Jets - we noticed he was limping around favoring a leg (knee issue perhaps). He seemed to hurt it just before the 3-15 or maybe even during the ist down play. He stayed in the game, (at least for that set of downs) but did not look so hot. We did not notice how he looked as he was leaving the field after the game (we were too busy throwing up).

Hopefully it's only a pull or a bruise and he is back tomorrow.

OK...I haven't replayed that part of the game to see...thanks. That does explain it though. Probably not TOO bad. Thanks. Hadn't heard anyone mention that.

Another possible injury to Seymour?

Now is that real shocking to you?

Seymour has spent more time on the sidelines than on the field since 2005

that would suck big time if he isnt a 100 % . Does this mean that warren was back today ?

Seymour missed a Tuesday practice? Not really a big deal. If this was a normal week, there would be 52 other players who missed practice today. If he misses other days of the week, then come back to me. But I bet other starters who may or may not be banged up will miss a day this week. The Pats have an extra day of practice this week since they played on Thursday.

another injury to a starter...surprise surprise

Pretty soon you will be blaming the training staff, this is a really stupid comment.. he had major knee surgery..

IR, of course. Is there anyplace else?

Goddammit. Can we please have a healthy team next season?

Damn, I saw that too but I was waiting til practice before hitting the panic button. I think I will still wait until an injury report and this up coming game before panicing but Damn.

I will add one thing to FGS' report and that is that I am pretty sure he stayed on the field for the field goal too. He is one of better FG blockers but one would think if he was hurting he would come off the field for a STs play though that was the game on the line.

It would be down right :scared: *scarry* if Big Sey is out.

Let's wait till Wednesday's injury report before we start hitting the panic button. I was at the game and thought I saw him on the field for most of that OT drive, I'll go back to the dvd and make sure. My guess, at this point, is that this is nothing serious.

Way too early to speculate. I remember seeing Wilfork and Moss on a couple DNP lists even on Wednesday and they were fine.

And so was Warren....

Yeah, the day before the game. If Seymour's on there Thursday and Friday then we can talk about him maybe being out.

As I and FGS pointed out already in this thread the injury came on the last drive of the game. I went back and looked at it and it actually appears to be the third to last play. It was a run play and as he was getting set to help make the tackle two players one Jet one Pat sweep out his legs. He got up slow but went back to the huddle and stayed on. The next play was a run to his side and he held his own against the olinemen and the run went just inside him and as the tackle was being made he jumped on. The next play was the field goal and he stayed on for this play too and actually made a pretty nasty athletic move to jump into the backfield to attempt to block the field goal which he didn't seem to far from.

If the field goal block attempt is any indication than this shouldn't be serious but we will have to let time sort this out because no one is going to tell us.

I saw Seymour down too looked like he was hobbling.

What is amazing is that we won two superbowls (38 and 39) having the worst injury stats in NFL history in terms of game starts missed. Supposedly this year we are going to break the record for that we set in the Superbowl 39 year. The pats for some reason have always had bad injuries we have very rarely been healthy.
