ESPN - News flash: Joey Porter doesn't like Patriots - AFC East

Excerpt:

Do you use what has happened in the past as motivation for Sunday?

Porter: I don't forget things like that. I hope our whole defense, our whole team don't forget things like that. ... [Belichick] had the mindset last year where he said if he could put 50 up on you, he was going to put 50 up on you. That was his mindset.

So why should I feel sorry about anything that happens on their sideline? I really don't care what's going on over there. I'm worried about what we're doing, period.

I will help pay Mankins' fine if he punches this clown where the sun don't shine. They are lucky I'm not the coach. I would put in my back up nose tackle for the sole purpose of stomping this guy in the ground.

Definitely.....

I would help pay if I could......just run onto the field and knock the crap out of him.....

Would be fantastic.....

There's only one way to shut him up. Beat them.

Agreed. Beat them then run your mouth off to him. I would love to see nothing more than a 35-3 thrashing by us then for the camera to shoot over to the dejected look on his face. Actually, scratch that. I would love nothing more than to see six hungry pitbulls on top of him.

Just six?

How about those pigs from the movie Hannibal....

nothing left but the bones.....

The guy has been blessed with outstanding talent as a professional linebacker in the NFL

Too bad he was not blessed with brains to just shut up and play

how about a thowing in some cash for a wilfork eye poke?

The most annoying part is he has 13.5 sacks and the Dolphins are sitting pretty at 6 wins.

even then he will shoot his mouth off. after the spygate issue was basically dead he still told reports that there should be an * next to the patriots

There should be an * in his forehead.......

I'm not going to click on the link because I can pretty much imagine what it's like based on Porter's past comments. Probably talk about spygate and running up the score, I would guess. When we all read columns like this, and post comments on to that column, collectively we as fans are sending a message that we're more interested in inflammatory articles like that than we are in actual analysis of the game. And when it gets a bunch of hits and comments it also encourages Porter (and others) to speak out that way. Unfortunately a even a big win will not shut the Joey Porters of the world up as long as we keep giving him an audience.

I know I'm shoveling against the tide here, but sorry, I'm not going to contribute - and would hope anyone else that prefers intelligent conversation to do the same. I'd rather see more threads that break down plays like we used to see from Unoriginal than links to espn, which has become the tmz of sports reporting.

well..the interviewer also asks such questions "Do you use what has happened in the past as motivation for Sunday?" where they know he is going to say something
EDIT:Tim graham is an ex-miami reporter. all his questions are leading to criticize the pats .

of course, they are going for a headline or sound clip

yeah ,thats why i blame graham more.i mean the whole interview is about dissing the pats. how about asking the dolphins chances on the division and how it feels different than a 1-15 etc. but no . its about BB,pats and criticizing everyone. I bet if brady and co were playing graham wouldnt ask this kind of crap.
EDIT:Wasnt it porter who said that the pats were a horrible team 3-4yrs before and then they suddendly became good after the spygate story broke and said "now i have a question"? So he talks about respect, well ...

Yes, thats why your crying over what the Patriots do.

If only. The Pats have been beating Joey Porter teams consistently for years. That's precisely why he doesn't like us.
