Just laying this out there...

I know weather may be a factor, maybe rain and wind.

Barring that and the day is great for football, what is the game plan here?

Personally I think it will be more important to have a great defensive game plan, I think we need it. If we win the coin toss I would like to defer and get the offense out there first, just to mix it up and play with a lead. I would like to see some bold offensive play calling and bold (smart) decisions by BB.

Defensively, if I am not mistaken, Pennington does not turn the ball over so we should be disguising coverages and sending sporadic pressure. I would like to see us doing more of this. We played prevent at times against the Jets and I wish we would not have (hindsight is 20-20...:)).

Offensively, obviously BB/JMD is going to take what the defense is giving and make adjustments if he sees anything in the first half he can capitalize on.

I would like to run the ball abit more. I think Morris is gonna have a great game if we run good blocking schemes, get our O-line down field.

I know it is not necessary to see Cassel go deep however I think by showing that he can gives the offensive deep threat a bit more credibility, and opens up the middle for #16 when he has the opportunity to run, so even indirectly I would like to see him hit a few, hope that will be in the plan.

This is a relatively important game for us and I would like to see us establish a tempo right from the first possession.

What are your guys thoughts?

Getting a lead early so the Phins can't rely on Ronnie Brown & the running game all day.

I was going to say the same. We need to get 2 scores (TD's preferably) early on and get them away from the Wildcat.

Biggest key to defeating Miami:

Scoring more points than they do.

"Keys to victory"???

no, it should read "Key to victory"

all the pats need to do is stop the wildcat, if they do that, well be more then fine

The Dolphins didn't look too impressive versus the Raiders yesterday. It seems that if there "gimmick" plays don't work they have a hard time scoring points. Maybe signing DeVree to the active roster means they'll have the tight ends doing more blocking this week?

The offense is going to connect the dots.
I think we'll have at least a 21-3 lead by the half.

The defense will overpower Miami-this is a do-or-die game-plus we lost to the jests and im sure the boys are psyched to destroy

Front 7 HAS to show up on defense, hows that?

Not to be glib, but I think it will be the same as their Key to Victory in the rest of the games this year: TDs (not FGs) in the Red Zone.

Really as simple as that for this team. Despite the woes of the secondary, they would have beaten Indy & the Jets were they simply able to score TDs instead of settle for FGs.

What makes me not feel warm & fuzzy, as this has been a problem all year, and even with Cassel making huge strides, the team's playcalling & execution in the RZ still seems to be stuck in neutral.

The defense needs to have a good performance to get a W this week.

3rd down and RZ as always .we must one of the lowest ranked teams in this area.

I think it will be a hard fought game but you may be a little over confident considering miami is leading you in the division and you got routed last time around and we are at home. Just something to think about. May the toughest, smashmouth team prevail.

I think Miami is back to respectable, at least for this year and that is great for the fans down there, great for us NE Fans, good for the whole division. You want to be playing quality opponets throughout the year...

If the front seven plays poorly again, Belichick should purchase

some tackling dummies and hire a Pop Warner coach to teach the

players how to use them.

Tackle, tackle, tackle

If only that could help them rush the passer.

Also, tackling is huge. It's ******ed how much better we'd be just off the tackles we've missed. Gotta get better at some point during the season.
