"The Eagles took over, but Donovan McNabb's desperation pass as time expired fell harmlessly to the turf a few years in front of Cincinnati's goal line."

Nice to see the the quality of writers is right up there with it's networks analysts.

Huge blow the the Eagles' playoff chances.

They jumped the shark a long time ago and have been living off their reputation for years.....From 1999-2004, they were 64-32 (McNabb was 56-23). Since the beginning of the 2005 season they are 28-26 and McNabb is 17-16...
Reid is stubborn and refuses to make ingame adjustments. On 3rd and short or 4th and short, they are 4/4 passing and 4/16 running, so Reid continues to run even though they don't succeed..
From 2003-2005 Eagles were 13-5 in games decided by seven points or less. Since then they are 6-13 in games decided by 7 points or less.....total 19-18.
The Pats were 15-3 from 2003-05 and 10-4 in the last three years for a total of 25-7 in gamees decided by 7 points or less.

Another problem with them is there a finesse offense, Westbrook is awesome but they dont have that true powerback that could take the initial contact and still gain 2 or 3 yards for the 1st down.

Pitiful game on BOTH sides.

Eagles had 30 3rd down plays and passed on every single one of them.

The Bengals offense was absolutely horrendous.

The Eagles must feel like crap...tieing a 1-8 team.

I thyink McNabb has definitely lost something of what he used to have.
In the olden days he would have taken the game over with his legs. Now he will not come oput of the pocket period.
