Steelers are my 2nd favorite team after the Pats. With that said, I see this as a very winnable game.

Most are writing this and the Arizona games off as losses. We might not have the firepower to match the Cards, but the Steelers are not exactly looking too good on offense either. Cassel is playing similar to how Big Ben did in his rookie year, and Big Ben is playing hurt (and it shows).

I see the Pats squeaking out a close one. Pitts just aren't "winners" IMO. They've been folding under pressure this year.

I wouldn't write either off as losses, I think they should both be really good games. As good as the Steelers are on offense - 1st in passing yardage, 2nd in rushing yardage, 1st in total yardage, 1st in sacks, 3rd in points - their offensive line has been just as bad. Roethlisberger is just getting hammered, and it seems like it is causing him to run/roll out more, and also lead to bad decisions in his passing game. Seems like there is a lot of second guessing going on in Pittsburgh right now, with many openly questioning if the Steelers wouldn't be better off with Leftwich.

As far as Arizona goes, I don't know about their defense, and if I'm not mistaken they, like the Chargers, have been a Jeckyl-Hyde team when they have to play on the east coast. On the other hand, Warner to Fitzgerald - Boldin - Breaston is a scary thought.

Bottom line is that those should be two really good games that could go either way.

NO :)

What is a 2nd favorite team?

I think the Pats are capable of beating anyone.

Who's going to the game? I'll be there...my first game at gillette. Looking forward to being able to wear my pats gear to a game without getting crap about it. Been to pats games in pitt and buffalo.

One Game at a time please.

I don't know how realistic I'm being or if its just the homer talking but I think we win out. After the ugly first half it looks like defensively we started to adapt to life without Adalius and our offense has looked great ever since the Chargers debacle. I feel confident going up against all 6 of those teams and without boneheaded mistakes we should win those games. I think (hope) we've got those out of our system after Indy and NYJ.

I always think the Pats can beat a team, but it's starting to hit home that with a pretty easy schedule, our best victory was against the Donkeys where Cutler was hurt, and their team basically imploded that night.
Pitt's O-line might give up sacks, but our defense isn't getting many.
We need what little is left of our guys on defense to stay healthy, our RBs to get healthy, and Cassel & Moss to finally get on the same chapter. (It's wishful thinking to believe they'll be on the page based on what I've seen this year.)

I think the Pats can beat the Steelers. Right now they are really banged up and playing Roethlisberger may be counter productive for them right now. I think they might have beaten the Colts if they started Leftwich because Roethlisberger's shoulder really hurt their passing game.

I am more confident that we will beat Arizona than the Steelers. It will be an East Coast 1 PM game in December. The Cards are not as good on the road as they are at home and have sucked playing on the East Coast. Add that it will be cold and possibly inclimate weather for a team that plays in the desert and I think the Cards have several things working against them before they even get on the plane.

I believed the Pats would be able to win even after Tommy went down - other than some uncharacteristic mental mess-ups - this team has shown they can play and beat anyone on the schedule.

I think the patriots will beat every team they play, every week they play. So no, you are not the only one.

Not totally unrealistic.....we could/should be 8-2.

I think Patriots win 5/6, good for 11-5 and a share of ist place, if not sloe possession.

Playoffs?? Not a team out there that scares me - so who knows.

We're down right now, but far from out.

Agreed... absolutely...

:ditto:

It would suck to lose to the Dolphins, Jets, Colts, Chargers, AND Steelers all in the same season.

The time is now for this team to start playing its best football.

As you allude to, it is a home game. I expect the Patriots to win unless breaks or injuries fork it all up.

1. I hope we beat Steelers. They are good, no matter how bad people think they are.

2. We beat Cardinals. They destruct themselves in tight situations. It is proven against 49ers game. That was by far the most stupid game I have ever seen, from mid 3rd quarter. Pats lost to Colts by just one flag. How many flags were thrown at Card-49er game? A LOT!!! Coach Belichick will crush undisciplined team, NO MATTER how good people think their offense is.

3. One game at a time, please...

Here's a little tidbit from the National Football post:

(The whole article is good and relevant).

But don’t think that this wasn’t a good game to learn from for the Pats. They came back to tie a game that no one thought they could come back from, against a very good Jets team. They showed themselves that despite DECIMATING injuries to their team, they can still find ways to win. Did you not get the sense that the Pats just refused to give in and lose? Refusing to lose is a sign of a championship team, and they were a coin toss away from pulling it off. Don’t worry about the Pats emotional state after Thursday night’s game. Thursday might have been the game that shows them that despite incredible odds, they STILL have a legitimate chance at winning the whole thing. Stranger things have occurred in New England before.

NFP has become a must read....I love how the writers actually respond to letters at the end of the articles.

Did Emmitt Smith teach you that one? ;)

But seriously, I agree with everyone...nothing is set in stone this year (or any year). We're a Gaffney catch and a 1 second earlier Meriweather tackle from being 8-2 thus year. If we can take our division games and 2 more between the Cards, Steelers, Raiders, and Seahawks; 10-6 will most likely get us into the playoffs.

But for now, we should be wondering what the coaches are working on to prevent Ronnie Brown from scoring 5 TD's again.
