[EDIT: the thread title should read "Do you think we can win the next SIX games?"] not sure how to change it

Do you?

i think so, and if we do, well go 12-4 (i predicted 11-5 at beginning of season)

and w/ a 12-4 record, well not only win the division, but well also have 2nd seed...

Depends how long Warren is out, when Wheatley is back, is AD gone for the season, etc. Defensively, there's a lot to overcome. Offensively, you don't have Tom Brady, and no matter how well Cassel plays, he's still not TFB.

I'd take 4-2, it'll get us in the playoffs, and I don't care if its division or wild card. I think we could get 5-1 though if the defense shores up a bit.

To me, just making the playoffs this season, even a wild card, would be a crowning achievement.

Next three? Definitely. Next six? I think it's a possibility, if we get everything going and don't shoot ourselves in the foot.

Yeah.....with all we have gone thru and still accomplished....making it into the playoffs will be amazing.....

You have a better chance of picking the Lotto pick 6 than NE winning all 6 of its remaining games

4-2 would be tops AT BEST

Pittsburgh game looks to be a long day and I don't like our chances against Buffalo at home and the season's MVP so far in Warner and his Cardinals coming to town.

9-7 or 10-6 looks VERY likely - A wild card is a distinct possbility unless we lose to Miami next week...if we lose, then bye bye season

Can we? Sure. Will we? If we come out and score some points early, then I like our chances. Sit back and kick a couple field goals in the first half and we're in trouble.

Well, if the Jets can win the Superbowl in the 10th game of the year then anything's possible.

I only see the Steelers as the possible spoiler of the next three games. Miami and Seattle shouldn't be a problem if they play like they played in the last 2/3 of last night's game.

Split the next two then win three out of four. 10-6. Great season, probable playoffs. Works for me.

CAN we? yes

WILL we? no

CAN we? yes

WILL we? no

i dont get the lot of u making this remark...

if we CAN do it, why WONT we?

we lost two blowout games, and two games b/c of our own mistakes...

i dont expect any more losses through either of those methods again, we will not get blown out again, and we will not shoot ourselves again either

the next 6 games are ours to win, and win them we will, and the 2nd seed we should get, so we have time to heal up for whomever we face

six straight?
I don't know.. that will take some luck me thinks..
3 straight, YES.. they can and will win the next three..
Book it ;)

Why do you think this? The team has lost 2 of its last 3 games with mistakes, yet you think those mistakes will stop completely in the next 6 games? Four of which are on the road? Heck, even the Rams win was chock full of mistakes, but thank God it was a home game vs. a flawed team.

Obviously the Pats can avoid shooting themselves in the foot the rest of the way as you expect, but you make your expectation sound fairly reasonable while I think the odds of it are low.

And putting killer mistakes aside, this team has problems that make a 6-0 run very difficult. The Pats cannot defend the middle of the field (Pennington lit them up last time and could do so again next Sunday and I can only imagine what Arizona might do to them). While looking better as of late, the OL still has protection issues (Pittsburgh is a bad matchup here, although the game is in Foxboro so that might help).

I think 4-2 is a more reasonable hope, with 5-1 a great success and 3-3 a very real possibility.

Regards,
Chris

I sit down watching every game thinking we can win it. The loser mentality hurts you from the outset if you don't believe you can win everytime.

You'd better hope so, you guys have to win at least 5 of them if you want to make the playoffs.

The Colts are going to finish 11-5 or 10-6 and they have the tie breakers over the Pats.

miami and seattle in the same breath ? miami is a very losable game especially in miami and fins always seem to give us trouble.
We havent won more than 2 games in a row this season so 6 is reaching.

Injuries and mistakes are catching up with this team. Win the last 6? Its hard enough to win 6 in a row with Brady and an injury-free team. Mia, Pit, and arz will be tough.

I think they can go 5-1 which will be very respectable and should guarantee them a playoff spot.

@Miami - must win because we lost to them already. THe matchup is unfavorable. LOSS

Pittsburgh - Another tough game at home. But the Pats Win

@Seattle - Should beat the SeaChickens but that can be a miserable place to play and the weather always stinks in Decemeber. - Pats Win

@Oakland - Should win this but the Jets have lost here already. Pats Win

Arizona - At this point a tossup PAts Win - Arizona won't like to play in the cold.

@Buffalo - In ten feet of snow, Buffalo remembers the 56-10 whipping administered by the Patriots. Wouldn't it be special for Buffalo to knock New England out and possibly get the last playoff spot for themselves. LOSS

In this scenario - Pats finish with a 2-4 division record, 6-6 AFC and have to hope teams like Jacksonville, Miami, Buffalo, Baltimore, Denver, and NYJ go cold and at least three of those teams finish 9 and 7 or worse.
