NFL record--Welker becomes the first player to have nine consecutive games with 6+ receptions to open the season.

Franchise record--that last drive (19 plays) was the longest drive, by number of plays, in Patriots history. (tied)

also interesting note. Cassel rushed 13 yards for a TD, Brady's longest was 10 yards, not sure what the Patriots record is for longest TD rush is for an NFL QB.

Steve Grogan had a 40-yarder IIRC.

In any case--Welker's record is now up to 10 consecutive games this season.

Also, Matt Cassel set a franchise record: never before has a Pats QB had 300 yards passing and 50 yards rushing in one game.

Or 400 Yards passing in regulation (if I heard that right).

No; he had more rushing yards, but he never had both 300 passing and 50 rushing in one game (so said the broadcast last night, too).

Ah, ok. It was the combo. Gotcha.

Gee whiz, even our hobbled team is having a record year.

Sort out the D a little and next year I think the Patriots will steam-roll the league again.

Moss could tie or take over third place in the NFL's all-time TD reception list today with one or two TD's.

I'm rooting for two... :D
