They beat themselves against the Colts. I thought it was an uncharacteristic one time thing.

Tonight...

-mis communication on the snap, ruined our drive giving us 2nd and 33 and bad field position

-Watson with a pathetic fumble. He wasnt even hit and no one ripped the ball from him. Lost us 3 or 6 points with this one. Killed our drive and ate time off the clock. Right when it looked like we were getting back into it, the fumble set us back to square one.

-Special teams. That Kick return by Washington has to be the easiest run back Ive seen from anyone all year.

1. Special teams have been problematic for a few weeks now.
2. Hats off to the Jets. They capitalised when they needed to. Sport is an event of opportunities. They took theirs, we didn't take ours.
3. My gripe tonight is the phantom holding call on Vrabel with third and short. That hurt us alot. The D had some momentum at that point, all flushed by the wayside.
4. Watson needs to hold the ball. I'm sure he is down on himself and nothing negative needs to be said. A couple of times he came up big, unfortunately he nullified those plays with some poor drops and a fumble.
5. On to Miami.

3. YES

WTF was that? Especially at such a crucial point in the game.

I can understand No-calls, when things are simply missed. But when holding is called on something like THAT? Just terrible. That type of "hold" happens on every play and doesnt get called 99% of the time. Why call it on a critical play at the end of the game

The incorrect call by the ref to give Coles a reception, the phantom Unecessary Roughness Penalty on Woods, the BS call on Vrabel, the NON-CALL on Ty Law and the numerous missed holding calls that DID affect the game by the Jets offense and defense had NOTHING to do with the Pats losing this game.. Unless you consider that the calls cost the Pats 14 points.

1) Special Teams has NOT been problematic. KICK OFF COVERAGE has been problematic.

2) Yes, they were handed the game by the refs and even they couldn't screw it up.

3) Totally agreed.

4) Watson did have the fumble. Then he bounced back with the TD reception and a couple other clutch catches.

5) I really think the league needs to re-think its Thursday night games policy. The teams playing on a Thursday should be coming off their bye. Having only 2 days to prepare is absurd.

I agree the calls were especially problematic that was flat out BS, you can beat yourself or get beat, but when you are beat by the refs that makes it all the more difficult.

Thursday nite games suck, limited audience with the NFL network and I am tired and cranky today..

I didnt see the woods roughness call.. But the Vrabel call was assinine.. And if Randy Moss did not catch that pass , you could arrested Ty Law for a mugging.. But other than that we dug ourselves a hole, that we came a coin flip from coming out of it.

Do you still think we make playoffs?

Do you still think we make playoffs?

Yes we do.....and I am confident that if we meet the Jets there, we will ruin their hopes and dreams....

When you play a divisional opponent you cannot leave points on the ground the way the pats did last night and expect to win.

1) Going for it on 4th and 3 left 3 points on the field. I had a bigger problem with the play call the play before on 3rd and 1 with a hand off to our fullback right into the center of the Jets D.
2) The Watson fumble left 3 and possibly 7 points on the filed
3) The bad snap which lost us 20 yards likely cost us 3 points

And then there were the players mental errors and the lousy calls.
This is still a good team. We just can't afford the mental lapses that have been prevalent for 2 of the last 3 games!

Critical 3rd and 1, stupid Josh McDaniels call on that horrible Heath Evans fullback dive, gets blown up like it usually does, causes a tough to make 4th and 5 and time to punt. How to douse a flame and momentum by Josh McDaniels, let's please, lose that play from the playbook.
