Yeah, we lost. Sucks. But I saw a QB put the game on his back after getting burnt more by his own team than the Jesters.

Clutch. I don't want to say he's the next TFB, not at all, but Matt Cassel is an NFL QB, without a doubt.

Congrats Matt. Now go kick some of your team-mates teeth in!

Keep in mind he did two things tonight that Tom Brady has NEVER done:

(1) Have a 400-yard passing game without overtime.
(2) Pass for 300 yards AND rush for 50--something no Pats quarterback has ever done before.

Yeah, and get us a high draft pick next year while you're at it.

I'll admit it. I'm becoming a rea fan. I'd like a few better thrown deep balls. But, I am a fan.

I think cassel played well tonight, he defitnetly has learnes something while being brady's backup. While i think he never will be like brady, he sure has prove he can play.

If he could hit a wide open reciever outside of 20 yards, I might agree. He left at least 14 easy points on the table. Makes me sick to think about how great Moss is, and watching him essentially being wasted this season.

That said, Matt does do some things well, but God love him if some team coughs up cash and makes him a starter...:nooo:

One more thing I'll add--if there aren't a bunch of teams committing tampering tomorrow, they damn well should be. :D

If he had of hit Moss on some of those passes he wouldn't need to throw for 400 yards.

Damn! What a game!

Brady said it best, the guy is good!

which play are u referring to?

the one where moss tripped?

or two weeks ago when gaffney dropped one right in his hands?

or the one today when moss was covered by two people? (EVERY SINGLE PLAY)?

get serious man

Exactly, that was a timing route and Moss got tripped up. A vet QB MIGHT compensate better, but I wouldn't put that one all on MFC.

Matt's value is going up every game-from a near minimum wage sub to a multi-million, multi-year contract to the highest bidder next year. Quite a story.

He just better not come back to Foxboro and whip the team that finally gave him a chance.

I hate to lose to the Jets, but I think this this is a transformative game for Cassel and the Pats. The rest of the league better look out from now on.

Matt Cassel the next Steve Young? That's just ridiculous.

Guy played pretty admirable in the second half tonight, but come on it did kind of take him 51 attempts to throw 3 TDs. If my QB throws 51 times I'd expect him to have 3+ TDs hopefully.

And to the poster who said Moss is essentially being wasted, he's right on. If you disagree a quick gander of his stats this year will point you in the right direction.

Still watching that alternate feed? LOL You have no sense of what it takes to be a successful QB in this league. Moss was doubled all night and struggled to get off his jams vs. some street FA Eric signed yesterday. He made a clutch catch to tie it but off a great play by Cassel who slipped a potential sack and put the ball where only Randy could get in on the fly. Wake up or take the helmet off as it's obviously cutting off circulation to your brain.

You're about the least informed poster on this board Wendel. Anyone whose post gets kudos from you should seriously question their football intelligence.

i could see the Jets going after him if the hillbilly primadonna retires

That's the great thing about the Mississippi Quarterhick. . . . I'm just waiting for the JEST fans' heads to explode as Brett puts on his dancin' shoes for his annual Offseason Retirement Tango.
