It absolutely kills me to admit this but the Jets are the better team. Parcells once said " you are what your record says you are." The records say the Jets are the better team. Give them credit they spent $140 million in the offseason on free agency while the Patriots did not spend 5 cents to bring in one starter on either side of the ball. ( please save me the injuries responses, injuries are part of the game.) The pats thought they could get one more year out of Bruschi/ Vrabel.............they can't. The LB combo has combined for 2 sacks, 0 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles, and 0 fumble recoveries. Thats almost impossible after 10 games.

No they aren't. We gave the game away and the refs didn't help. Oh, and we were missing Brady, Thomas, Warren, et al. But even with what was on the field we were the better team. We just lost it the way the Patriots used to win it.

Gary Guyton has hello with his fumble recovery tonight. Your stats are crap because Thomas wasn't playing.

Sure, that's what happens when you have so many quality players go down with injuries.

Usually I dont reply to all these predictable and unoriginal post game threads that pop up... but really?
I cant imagine how anyone would come to this conclusion after watching that game.

The jets proved tonight that they can hardly beat a team that has been dissected by injuries and is playing their heart out....

Sorry, this game came down to the flip on the coin and stupid mistakes. Does anyone really think that if the Pats won the coin toss that they wouldn't have driven down the field just as easy or easier and won the game? This game came down to who had the ball last. That means you cannot argue one team is clearly the better team than the other.

Maybe it's because the Jets blew an 18 point lead when the Pats handed them a turnover and ended two of their own drives with a botched snap and dropped pass. I'm sure that means they are better.
I want them in the playoffs, no way we'd lose.

The Bruschi/ Vrabel stats were the 2008 season Combined Totals for the two of them...........2 sacks, 0 interceptions, 0 fumble recoveries, 0 forced fumbles. Its a fact..............look it up.

Actually, after watching that game, I'd say the Patriots are the better team that made more errors in one particular game that cost them the win.

The should have won this game.

And its a wonder why your reputation on this website is bad....:banned:

with the injuries this team has and the way they played, battled and came back, i can't say the jets are better.

511 yards of total offense (or so) for the pats.. How does that make the jets D better???

The Jets squeaked by after being out played and they won with a special teams TD, which does not happen every week (playoffs for the Jets-probably, Div Title-possibly, SB Title-very doubtful)
That being said....A Pats Super Bowl team would have won tonight, the Pats will not win it all this year but at least they'll be entertaining.

Don't forget the bad snap and Watson's unforced fumble. The Patriots had almost double the yardage the jets did, and if we won the coin flip we win!

I'm sorry, give them credit for sticking through the comeback, but they got EVERY break tonight. Even the coin toss in OT went their way. And they are much healthier than us right now. We are 1-1 right now, hopefully we meet again in January so we can see who really is the better team.

The jets maybe the better team. After all they arn't missing starters like oh:

Tom Brady
rodney harrison
adalious thomas
maroney
jordan
ty warren
etc.
