Every week it must be a ton of work to compile all the data from that week and the previous bits of the season, keeping track of who still has a 'bye' week and who cannot miss another week. It is a hell of a lot of fun, and on this short week I imagine it will be a real pain in the butt!

Well, alamo, I for one love the game and greatly appreciate your hard work!

:singing::D:singing:

The one down side, I sometimes become a total idiot during the games. Last week when the Bills only had 3 points I found myself thinking, "Crap they better score one more or else I'll take a big hit in the guess the score contest."

I quickly hit myself with a beer bottle.

A compliment or a thinly veiled reminder? ;)

Regardless, yeah Alamo, thanks a million. It's a lot of fun. For the record, I thought the same thing about the score for a minute and then suffered minor anxiety when they actually scored a TD.

How about more people showing appreciation to our Veterans on THEIR DAY? Who cares about a guess the score game on a day like today? Without those men and women who have served this country, many of whom have given their lives, we wouldn't have this country and you wouldn't have some stupid game.

I am extremely disappointed that none of the Mods have stickied the thread that was started by NEGIRLPATSFAN and disappointed that more people haven't posted in that thread. It truly is sad how much we take for granted in this country.

It has nothing to do with being from Boston and everything to do with people like yourself taking our freedoms for granted. God forbid you take 30 seconds out of your life to stop and pay thanks to the people who have ensured that you can post on this board. I really don't think its that much to ask. But, then, I cherish my freedom and thank the people who have ensured it for me every chance I get.

A little off topic you think.

How dare you question my sincerity! :p This thread is about the game, not about me.

Yes we can.

I am honoring one of the people that fight for our right to goof off once a week.

Yes we can.

I am earnest and guileless.

Yes we can.

I am Patriotic!

Yes we can.

thanks alamo! ;)

Go Obama '08! :p

Dude you are talking out of your @ss. Your appreciation for the military is admirable but your vitriol is completely misplaced here. This is like a Saturday Night Live sketch that is going on a wee bit too long.

:deadhorse::rolleyes2::ugh:

Who cares about a guess the score game on a day like today?

With that logic, who cares about posting on a football message board on a day like today?

Are you going to go crash random birthday parties and lecture the people there for appreciating a birthday instead of the veterans?

Also when did it become necessary to post a thank you to the veterans on a football message board? Wouldn't it be much more appropriate to, I don't know - go visit a grave site, parade or personally thank a veteran via phone?

Of course we all appreciate the veterans.

Maybe I'd have more appreciation for Veteran's Day if I actually had the day off! Just kidding of course! ;)

The game is alright, but there are tons of things wrong with it….

JK, great game keep it up
:D

Chill the hell out. Just because people haven't posted in that thread doesn't mean that they haven't thanked veterans, new and old, for what they have done for the country. I know I have and I didn't need to post in a thread on PatsFans.com just to show it. Did that ever cross your mind before you decided to completely hijack the thread?

No let's keep it going! This is the most fun I've had all day you betcha! :singing:

My stepson came home from 12 years in the Army as a Sargeant and was part of the Special Forces unit - He had several friends in his unit blown away with their brain matter scattered right in front of him during his time in the Iraqi desert.

I think he could care less of having a thread on a sports fans website,Now on a military website or a news-type one then it might be a different thing

If you want a thread for this, maybe the veterans WHO ARE patsfans.com members are more appropriate to get together and show respect

A compliment or a thinly veiled reminder? ;)

Doesn't look too thinly veiled to me ;) I had planned to post it early this afternoon, but I got caught up in that other stupid thread (as well as other things) so it will be later, blame DaBruinz :D

Good Lord, you guys can make anything a food fight. Cripe the Veterans Day thread had to turn political.

This is about appreciation of alamo, who ever that is.

If alamo wants this thread moved over to the Practice Squad forum, I'll be glad to do it.
