like dave thomas hit, 4th and 1 but a 15 yard on a late hit gives the 49ers a 1st down. it seems a lot of these happens because refrees dont blow the whistle at the right time which causes a lot of these cases...

This has to be the most undisciplined game this week.

wow i switched channels thinking zona was going to win ..now SF is at the goal ?

Wow...what a crappy ending for SF. They deserved it though. Very undisciplined team.

i cant imagine singletary as a coach. he can give speeches and show a hard face but cant think through the situation in the end how to gain 1 bleeping yard.

Ehh... his team sucks and has no shot at doing anything this season, so he's trying to mold them into an aggressive team. It sure looked to me as if the team responded well to him tonight. They just need a quarterback and some linemen with talent, because that's pretty clearly missing.

Thought they could have easily had four plays at the end, instead they get two running plays and a loss. Bad playcalling in the end, I guess this is when Martz stopped coaching and Singletary began.

:rofl singletary when asked now he said mike martz felt we shouldrun the ball or of some sort..
these idiots make us realize how lucky we are to have our team PRACTICE all these situational stuff. singletary is a hack..good for TV and speeches but just doesnt have any coaching sense.

well i agree but there needs to be some situational coaching ability too. he can make his team play hard but can he teach what to do ?iam not sold on it ever since his started his last press conf "our philosophy is to hit people in the mouth". great coaching tip

Singletary is going to have to find a way to stop these losses from eating him up or he's going to stroke out before the year is over.

I was unimpressed with the called late hit, unless they considered it a blow to the head. I just hate all the picky unnecessary roughness calls I've been seeing lately.

I completely disagree. He's two games into his coaching career and has NEVER done anything on the offensive side of the ball. When a defensive minded guy comes in mid-year, and you have an OC who was a former HC (a successful one, at that), the OC is supposed to handle as much as possible to make the transition easier for the new HC. Singletary has focused on getting the team's head out of its collective arse, and has had a lot more on his plate at practice than situational football.
We are lucky enough that the rest of our team already has the big picture figured out and can afford to spend so much time on situational stuff.

sure, but he is the head coach. When asked in the post game press conf about the last few plays he said he didnt know what happened and mike martz called it. While it is true but still if you are a HC or an aspiring HC there isnt any training on the job at least in my opinion. He was the asst head coach in Sf for 2 yrs so he has to know what is going on. I givehim credit for changing the culture or whatever to play hard etc. but how good he is situationally ? especially he is such an emotional wreck on every play instead of paying atten and managing the game

He does need to stop throwing everyone under the bus.

While I think he has what it takes to be a HC, he does need to work on that honesty thing. I mean, everyone knows it was Martz's call, but at least say something like "We all agreed that was the right play and it wasn't."
A little press conference lying never hurt anybody!

Martz opted to open up the game with 10 straight running plays??(or something close to that). Seems to the outside observer that Martz was sorta hamstrung by Singletary in this game...then he throws Martz under the bus after all is said and done?....one thing, Martz is already on greased skids...and two, whoever it was or the multiple people who did are exactly right...he's gonna stroke out as a head coach

That's exactly what I was thinking when that happened. They stood around for about 20 seconds and then spiked the ball, looked completely clueless as to what they should do in that situation. They could have had 4 chances easily. Sure the Pats haven't always had the perfect management but overall there is a huge difference between us and a team like SF.
