Put aside your knee jerk reaction to say no

1) Adalius Thomas is gone to injury
2) The Jets defense has been very solid
3) The Jets have scored more points than any other team
4) Pats are very thin at RB
5) Pats are getting nothing from TE position

I am hopeful that PATS will win...but if you just look at facts..this is either a pick em game or Jets should be favored by 1 point.

yea they should. i mean we beat them in week 2 at the meadowlands

Pats have played very good the last few games despite how well the Jets have played, so no I don't think the Jets should be favored in Foxboro this Thursday night.

Regards,
Chris

Yes, I favor the Jets to lose...again.

No, and it's not a knee-jerk reaction.

No. Matt Cassel is an American hero and inspires me to eat my vitamins

Matt Cassell is a ladies man and can have my wife if he beats the jets on thursday! Twice if he gets Ty Law to look foolish....(no one tell him shes 9 months pregnant)

The past 4 weeks (including the Colts game) this team has given me the feel of the classic mid-decade Patriots teams that always kept it close and almost always closed things out in the end. The Pats are certainly short in terms of raw talent right now compared to previous years, but they are playing together in a way that I'm not sure the 2007 team, which imposed it's will but often felt a little bit off.

I can't predict how this Jets team will come out. They could blow us out or they could deliver an absolute stinker. Because of the homefield advantage, and the status of the Patriots as the more consistent team, I pick them to win a game that is close for 3 quarters.

I will be surprised if they are not favored.

Pats opened 3.5 pt favorites, already settled at 3, which seems right IMO. The Jets have scored big points in two games -- AZ & STL. In both of those games, the opposing team offense handed the ball over multiple times in the first half and gave the Jets huge leads.

If the Pats limit turnovers -- which they have done for the most part this year -- they match up well vs. the Jets. I expect something like a 17-6 win from NE.

Guessing the standard -3 for being the home team in close matchup on paper.

Of course they should be favored.... they have The HERO.

Marcus, go back to Jets Insider. AD went down in the 1st 1/2 and the run D didn't miss a beat. The Jets D has been solid, but the Pats O-line, not to mention their new QB has been more than solid the last two weeks. The Pats have let up very few points against most of their opponents, including the Jets. The Pats are thin at RB in terms of depth, but have had no problem grinding out plenty of yards against each opponent. The Pats ARE getting nothing from the TE position, except a penalty that cost them the Indy game, but others are making it up. Cassel is doing a good job of spreading the ball around, and I'm hopeful that the TEs will come around. Even if they don't, we don't need them to be great to beat the Jets.

The Jets defense isn't that solid. Even with the addition of Ty Law. Also, the Jets are only the 2nd highest scoring team in the league. But, they've also racked those points up against St. Louis and Arizona. If you look at the other games they are scoring just slightly more than the Pats.

The Pats aren't "very thin" at RB since it sounds like both Morris and Jordan could be returning.

The Pats are getting decent blocking from the TEs. And both TEs have had receptions in the past few weeks. No, they haven't been Tony Gonzalez, but they are getting more and more work as Cassel is able to get through his progressions better.

The Pats O-line has played significantly better the last couple of weeks than they did the 1st 6.

I would say its probably EVEN since the Pats get 3 points automatically for being the home team.

is there a line yet? i'd think it would be pats by 4.

This team has reverted back to the Patriots of old mentality.. and I for one love it. This season has thrown so many spanners in the works that it's hard to find one in the tool shed now.

With our lines sorting themselves out and the maturation of Cassel, I believe the Pats will win time of possession and run over the Jets.

My basis, BB is simply a better coach than Mangini.

Of course not. They're playing in Foxboro where they always seem to win.

Oh.
