Here are a few updates on the Patriots' injury front:
Linebacker Adalius Thomas' arm injury -- which knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Bills in the second quarter -- will require surgery and he is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to an NFL source. The Patriots have not yet officially placed Thomas on season-ending injured reserve at this time.
Running back Laurence Maroney, prior to signing autographs for fans tonight at the Reebok Store at Patriot Place, indicated he was "just getting started" on a nine-month plan to "get stronger" and "get better." On Oct. 20, Maroney was placed on season-ending injured reserve because of his shoulder. While guarding details of his injury and not disclosing if he's had surgery, Maroney said he first hurt himself during the team's Sept. 14 win over the Jets, and hinted that the injury lingered before reaching a breaking point against the 49ers on Oct. 5. As for the "issues" he had talked about on Oct. 3, he said those were solely football-related.
