Law signs with Jets

This will be interesting.

I loved watching Ty Law. One of my favorites. That interception return in the Super Bowl was one of the most exciting moments as a Patriots fan.

I was hoping he would contribute to the Pats this year if he was willing to sign for a million or so. Who knows if he has anything left.

So what if he signs with some other team. The Patriots brought in Jason Webster off the street rather than Law. How is Law's decision anti-Patriotic?

Law was a fav of mine as well, as previously mentioned. His decision was anti-Patriotic when you consider:

1) He signed in time to face the Pats for the sake of the Jets

2) He could have signed on long ago if he and the Poston Bros. weren't impossible to deal with. I doubt Webster was commanding as much dough.

Law, you were a great Patriot, but I hope Moss smokes your ass this Thursday.

Maybe Mangini thinks he can get some info on the Pats game plan from him.
Right, because Mangina doesn't know anything about the Belichick defense and Law has played all these years with Dean Pees as DC. Good thinking

I will be surprised if Law has much left in the tank. Frankly, I think RatFace signed Law so the fans will be more focused on Law than on him. :singing:

Mine too, until he signed with the jets the first time. Then he became the enemy. Now, well, I had already moved on when he left for them the 1st time now it just reaffirms my feelings for him

Depending how he kept himself in shape while being unemployed, he could be a good help at CB or safety or an excellent back up for Kris Jenkins at NT.

=====================================================

It was a joke, but your post was funnier.
Every time I read the name "Dean Pees" I have to laugh.:D

i heard that ty law got fat by eating alot of mcdonalds while he was sitting on the sidelines waiting for a new deal.

A quote from Law,“This is going to be different playing Thursday night against the Patriots, matching up against my former team and the players I’m used to practicing against,”

Can someone tell me a single player he is gonna have to cover that was with the Pats when he was?? I hope they throw at him all day long...make him wish he stayed unemployed.

I hope this one game and the last 6 of the season are worth the cap HELL the jets are gonna be in for the next 4 years.

I'm not sure what players he's referring to. Maybe Ben Watson and Kevin Faulk. Other than that, this offense is totally different. He never practiced against any of the WRs, and other than Faulk he hasn't played against any of the running backs either.

The Law was one of the best cornerbacks in the league when he was here. But he's done. Even the Chiefs cut him. I'm baffled to think what he can offer the Jets that they don't already have. And Revis and Lowry have been one of the best tandems in the league this year.

If he ends up on the field Thursday night, we make sure we move Wes towards him and throw throw throw.

What I dont understand is why they are putting him out there in 3 days.....staying fit and being in football shape are two totally different things. Mangina has enough DBs and safeties...they DONT need a man, who despite knowing the systems doesnt know it as well as the guys they have now, to go out there and probably get bombed on.....

I smell an Anthony Smith style humiliation brewing on thursday.....

its PR move and mind games played by the jets. iam sure he was agreed to the jets last week or before(possibly even practiced last week covertly) but was announced and signed today.

Great googley-moogely! He was cut by the CHEFS!.

Anyone who seriously considers him to be a solid corner or safety needs some time out. If good ol' Herm Edwards thought he wasn't going to be useful to HIM, what does that say about Fredo's grasp of reality? What, is he turning into a young Al Davis?

its officially 3 days. who knows how long he is cramming the playbook and practicing with the coaches and all...

I have mentioned this before.

The Jets biggest weakness on D is the short middle of the field. Jets have been OK at the long ball game, but the short over the middle routes by slot receivers and TE's has made the Jets a bottom 1/3 D defending the Pass.

Enter Ty Law. I am thinking safety and nickle back.

Eric got his AARP and Scouting News mixed up, again.....

you can bet ESPN and NFLN will now regard this a great move tipping thebalance in the jets favor. i think he will be a +ve asset for them experience wise.
just more pressure on mangini to win this yr.
