Many of you have slept on us very long...........we had no O last yr and won 10 games with the same D........this yr we got a QB and the most explosive rookie RB in his class............he got blanked yesterday but its because Chi put Urlacher and Briggs in the B gaps and dared us............and KC looked like Brady.............with our Bad WR's............NE had scares too last yr.............Balt and NYG We have beaten teams with the top run D's............Balt Minn and Chi..........we go ttwo left in the Jets and Pitts............Jets have a weak back seven so I think we handle them............Pitts is going to be the dog fight. That is the one team I think can stop us on O..............but i think we will kill their OL and the game is in TN. Ben has gotten crushed all yr and I see us being the best DL in the league when all our guys are healthy

NE slowed down as it got cold last yr.................the early season blowouts slowed down.....................but I remember our preseason game last yr...........we hit Brady alot and it foreshadowed the SB loss......................the NE OL is not as good as billed and still is not...............but it should be good enough to win alot............................I bet we get better because we are built better for it. We run it and play nasty D You guys won three SB with Avg WR's

KCollins is a statue............and he has seen the dirt but four times all yr............our OL and DL has been the real story that no one is talking about.............they allow us to beat teams............we are built inside out. The Jets have a good run D but their LB and secondary are very avg............they have lost to teams they should not have..............TN will exploit that.

TN secondary is the best in the league now............Favre will have alot of trouble..............KVB is du e back this week...........

I remember last year with the Pats, after winning the Dallas game which made the like 5-0 or 6-0. Everyone started talking about the Pats going undefeated the rest of the way, and I'm sure the pressure started to build from that point onwards. And the year before that, I think it was the Colts that also started to get a lot of talk about going undefeated early in the season. Why are the Titans getting off so easy?

I don't think they'll even get to 16-0. But if they do, I'll root for them to finish it, just to shut up those stupid 72 doofins geezers.

Titans D does look good this year, but undefeated is unlikely, and I have my doubts they can get through the playoffs. However, if ever there was a year for an inexperienced playoff team with a weak QB to do it, this is the year in the AFC. ALthough, you're likely opponent would be the winner of the AFC West vs Ravens/Pitt/ or Colts type WC team.

The Titans have a good D, but not a 2000 Ravens caliber D. The offense is not explosive. They are certainly one of the best teams in the NFL right now, but will they run the table against Jacksonville (a big rival), the Jests, the Colts (not likely to lose again and playing better with Sanders back) and the Steelers? Even the Browns can cause problems for better teams. To date, the Titans earned its point differential from games against the Bungals, Chiefs and Texans and had hard fought wins against the rest of the schedule. It takes a good team to win close games, but the margin of error for close games is pretty small and luck eventually runs out. I agree with the 14-2 projection.

As for Detroit, having hitched its wagon to the Culpepper star I think it is far more likely that the Lions join the utterly defeated club.

You guys have not watched us...........its clear.

I have watched several games and disagree. At what point at home against the Colts was it clear the game was in hand? Now the Titans play the Colts at Indy. How decisive were the games against the 4-5 Smackers or 5-4 Bears? How many of the name starters from Green Bay were out against the Titans, and who was starting QB for the Bears yesterday? Rex Grossman, of the frequent 20 or 30 QB rating? What was the average point differential for the games not against the three teams I mentioned? That is 2/3 of your season and a very small point differential. If the D is good, a couple of blowout wins are all that is needed for a big point differential. I would not make too much of that statistic.

You also have to consider the Broncos and Colts history factor if the Titans actually clinch early - rest starters for the playoffs or go for the undefeated season. Resting starters means losses, so given the fact the Pats went 16-0 last season and lost the championship I would not be surprised to see other coaches take their foot off the gas at the end of the season.

The Titans' offense nicely compliments the D, but it is not explosive and an off game for either side of the ball means a loss. So go ahead with your undefeated season prediction, but after the first loss (and there will be at least one), feel free to stop by and dine on a healthy serving of crow.

And when you do, please, for the love of God, stop writing with ellipses or periods or whatever you think those dots are. This message board is not a telegraph requiring transmission in dots and dashes. You can actually use full sentences.
