Ok, Peter King is using hyperbole to prove a point, but I think this is why the age of the Pats defense misnomer gets spread:

New England, which starts one player on the front seven (Jerod Mayo) who isn't an AARP member, held the rising-star Bills to 168 yards in a 20-10 statement win in Foxboro.

Multiple NFL stars deliver season-defining performances - Peter King - SI.com

I didn't know you could be 27 and be an AARP member. Seriously though, both Warren and Wilfork are 27 and Seymour is 29. Is that really that old in the NFL?

come on, give King a break. You should know by now, he never lets the facts get in the way of his opinion......

Re: The Age of the Defense Falacy Continues

I found this even worse: b. Roger Goodell, in an Internet chat the other day, sounded more hopeful about an international franchise in our lifetimes than I'd heard before. "Our fans in the UK continue to support us and have an interest in seeing more NFL football,'' he said. "I believe it's realistic as the fan base grows that it's possible there could be a franchise in London someday.''

Are you f#cking kidding me? Canada I can see, maybe even Mexico City. But having an NFL franchise is London is one of the most ridiculous things ever. Yeah, increase the schedule and give 10 teams a year 16 flying hours for one game (not to mention the London franchise having to fly back and forth 8 times a year). This guy is dumber than a rock.

Peter King is a grade-A moron who is a gossip Queen who never checks out most of his facts. He is basically a barometer of the idiots.

Still though, the thread starter would have more credibility if he/she knew how to spell fallacy in the subject title. Two l's, not one.

Mayo may have been the only STARTER but even BEFORE AD got injured both Woods and Guyton had seen multiple reps. Once AD went out it was a kindergarten LB corps. When will folks learn that King and his ilk know less about their team than knowlegeable fans like several who post here?

Are you really going to be a spell checker police. Sorry that I rushed to put it up and didn't wordsmith my work. There is nothing worse than someone who trashes other people for spelling on a message board.

I know how to spell fallacy, I just missed that I didn't spell it correctly. If you want, you can go back and check all my posts. I know for a fact that there are tons of spelling and grammatical errors, as well as, punctuation and capitalization issues. Since I am no longer in sixth grade, it would be good to have someone point these things out for me.

P.S. I corrected it for you.

Peter King is an idiot. Even a Jets fans knows that Seymour, Warren and Wilfork are still pretty young. Isn't a diehard Pats homer too???

But certainly your committing an Ad Hominem and name calling is more egregious in terms of credibility than a spelling error?
