Not about the Pats/Bills game.

First, Favre and the Jets had 40 at halftime. Anyone think they'll be accused of running up the score? (correct answer: no)

Second, Moss was find for his comments last week about the officiating. Not that I'm shocked at Das Kommisioner Goodell fining someone, but day-um look at the size of the fine:

NFL confirms fine on Moss - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

Only Moss and few others would get such a find for such innocuous comments.

The fine already has its own thread..

And, no, I don't think you'll hear that the Jets were running up the score because they only put up a TD in the 2nd half.. Whereas the Patriots regularly put up more than that last year.

Re: Two thoughts (ot)

Sorry about the double fine thread.

As for running up the score, I still think the Pats would have been accused for it. They were against Denver.

Turnovers were the reason for the Jet score, and when will we stop obsessing about them. There is a Favre/Jet thread every Sunday.

Considering Favre had 167 yards and 1 TD, no I don't think they were running up the score. I didn't see the game, but it sounds like Bulger was like Warner when he played them giving the ball away over and over again.

While the Pats may have been 'running up the score' last year, the reason behind that was overlooked by nearly everbody - even Pats fans. While other team's fans and most of the media assumed BB was 'getting even' for spygate or was being 'arrogant', most everybody failed to see the real purpose of those scores. BB was, in my opinion, trying to get a message across to the team that you don't ever give up, not even just a little bit, after what happened in that 2nd half loss to the Colts in the playoffs two years ago.

Heroes don't run up the score:D

I don't care if teams blatantly run up the score anyways.

How exactly do you run up the score in the first half?

Amen and Amen:

As long as we are talking about Favre, have any of you seen the Commercial for the game.....the one with Demigod Favre "The Hero" and the Pats as the "Villains".

Hope your not eating when it appears, I found it nauseating.

LOL, yeah, we were running up the score. Did you not see the Cards-Jets game earlier in the season where we had a 34-0 lead at the half and gave up 35 points in the 2nd half. We did not 'run up the score' in any way. We put in the backups late on and ran over and over.
