So the bible says that homosexuality is wrong?

Mahtin Sheen being Mahtin Sheen. Reveling in his element. "West Wing" is left-wing pap for the brain-dead.

Unfortunately for Sheen and those caught up in this slick twisting of the facts, it is not only that one citation in Leviticus that calls same-sex relations onto the carpet, it is every other major religion, especially Christianity, which has held to this tenet consistently.

Heck, even from a Darwinistic point of view of "survival of the fittest", people who do not procreate are all destined to disappear. Oh, today we have test-tube babies and surrogate parents, so we can game the gene pool. But don't forget: it's not nice to fool Mother Nature!!

But the girl WAS wrong: she should have stood up for the president as a matter of protocol. "Render unto Caesar... ", aka, "don't give the devil any excuse to accuse because if you give him an inch he'll take a mile."

With all due respect Wes, "West Wing" is probably not the best source to discuss the Bible. The Bible probably is.

Unlike the myth created sadly by a lot of Christians, Homosexuality is not a scapegoated sin, worse than any other sin. Heterosexual fornication, or sex outside of marriage, if you will, is also sin. So is greed, lust, envy, breaking any one of 10 commandments is sin. And any sin, which all people have, because none of us is perfect, seperates us from God.

The good news is that there is forgiveness for our sin through ************.

But no, there is no special punishment for acting on homosexuality, this is a lie put forward by a lot of right wing Christians to take the focus off their own behavior and/or to win elections. Hey, it worked in 2004. We went through 4 years of W because of Homophobia. Without that issue, he would have lost.

Anyway, any questions on the Bible...I would take to the Bible. And not just reading one verse here or there. I find that in study of the Bible, it answers its own questions.

For those who think Christ is just going to sit around forever just forgiving unconditionally sin after sin after sin, I have three words for you: Rod of iron.

To think we can get away with murder and not pay for it is pretty darn stupid, naive, and not a little arrogant.

God is truth. Jesus is a lie.

Rod of iron. I think that is a fantasy of yours.

I cant tell WHAT you are talking about, Fog. Are you saying that I was saying it doesnt matter, because if so, you are having trouble with reading comprehension. If, on the other hand, you are saying Homosexuality is a worse sin than all the others, it certainly is not backed up in the Bible.
