Wheatley is out. L. Sanders is doubtful. Guys... who the heck is left?

Well as bad and bizarre as the injuries have been this year, some other teams have had even worse luck.

Here's a thought, which may well be ******ed:

Assuming Hobbs and O'Neil can stay on the field, and Meri can get beasty, can't we run a lot with our "stealth depth" and get Brandon in as a Hybrid Safety/3rd CB?

Both Ventrone and Slater are educated at safety and RayVen©®™ is reportedly a beast in the rough. He could possibly cover the slot.

If I'm way off, educate me. I learn more from that than ridicule.

This would not be a huge issue if we could pressure the QB. The Giants had a horrid secondary last year, and they beat us with pressure. To bad we can't pressure the qb

Sad to say, you're damn right. If this team can get to Edwards we'll beat them down. If not, he'll have a good day against us. It's so annoying listening to people ***** about this secondary when they're running like chickens with their heads cut off for 5 seconds. I'm so sick of saying this, but this team just simply cannot get to the quarterback. Until that changes, they'll continue to struggle. If they can actually get to him, suddenly our young secondary will be one of the better units in the league.

The same group we played most of the Indy game with. Hobbs, O'Neal, Wilhite. And now Webster. The Bills have one real WR and JAGs, we can get through this game with this group.

unfortunately, it's not just their wr's we have to be aware of. they only got 30 yards rushing but still managed to get 289 yards passing against the jets, who have better cb's than we do. they've got playmakers at RB who can catch passes and get plenty of yac, and we have to watch out for their te's, although their te's seem pretty inconsistent this year.

i'm pretty worried, but i think we'll be able to control the clock and keep their offense off the field enough to win the game.

Almost 200 yards of their passing was to TE/RB. They only had about 100 to WR. Their TE/RB may make some plays against us but it won't play to our weakness at CB. Any team whose strength is the power game we have a decent shot at stopping.

You get a pass on the ******ed thingy being from like, Canader.

We may actually see such lineups as the season progresses. Mrs B would, well I can't actually say here on this Forum, if her boy Ventrone were to be out there.

Wheatley hasn't played much. Webster is likely to produce as much as Wheatley was producing. This group has done reasonably well so far. Hopefully, Lew Sanders will be back soon. However, we have our five active corners (not counting Spann who plays special teams and is the backup safety). There were time last year when we down to three corners.

Hobbs, O'Neal, Webster, Wilhite, Richardson, Spann if needed...

Here's Adam Caplan's list for Week 10:

And another one from Draft Daddy:

At this point in time, Fernando Bryant does seem like the logical choice to replace Wheatley and/or Lew Sanders, should either of them land on IR. I also would like to see added another Safety who could help in the box, e.g. Greg Wesley, Stuart Schweigert, Deke Cooper, Glenn Earl, Greg Blue, or even Adam Archuleta.

We finally get a young guy that can actually play a bit and he gets hurt.

Does anyone ever think we're being punished for last year? I mean the colts are obviously being punished for all the Peyton ballwashing and crooked zebras this year.

Why are we always out of corners it seems every year this is an issue. Next year our whole practice squad should be all corners and maybe a couple backs cause this is ridiculous

Yeah, we're definitely screwed. I mean, this group gave up a whole 18 points to slouches like Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne. I'm terrified to see what Trent Edwards, Lee Evans and *insert JAG receiver here* can do against us!

18 points in 25 minutes. What a shut down performance!

The defense did fine, on average they're on the field 30 minutes. that's only 20% more than 25 minutes. That prorates out to 22 points. Solid game.

For the sake of the team can we please sign John Lynch, his experience, team play, think of that super bowl with the bucs, is invaluable to the team with Rodney out.
