Sometimes adding to a thread on kinda the same topic doesn't get info to people who've given up on a thread.

Details:

Mike Reiss said:
The Bills will be without four starters for Sunday's game against the Patriots, coach **** Jauron told Buffalo-area reporters after today's practice.

The four starters are:

  • RG Brad Butler
  • DE Aaron Schobel
  • S Donte Whitner
  • WR Josh Reed

Also, Jauron told Buffalo-area reporters that CB Ashton Youboty (foot), who is often called upon to cover slot receivers, is also out.

I'm thinking Buffalo has to find a pass rush and get Lynch moving or they're in big trouble in the grand scheme of things.
With Jason Whittle and Kawika Mitchell questionable as well... this team is in rough shape to head into the second half of the season.

I am taking nothing for granted.

Agreed, but there is no way this hurts our chances.

What is hurting us is the list of usual suspects missing from practice:

RB LaMont Jordan (right calf)
CB Terrence Wheatley (left wrist)
CB Lewis Sanders (hamstring)
RB Sammy Morris (knee)
WR Maurice Price

Price? I wonder if we're cutting him and adding a DB to the practice squad?

Any fan who hopes for injuries or cheers that there are some injuries to starters or key players on the opposing team are two kinds of people

1) Wusses who want it easier anyway they can get it

2) Have absolutely no confidence in the Patriots chances to win against a team that is near 100% healthy and the only way they can win is if certain guys are out.

..... Thats the bottom line my friend

Thanks for posting. 5 key players out, wow, hopefully we can exploit some of those positions.

No one in particular, but you know there will be some guys in here who will say "Yeah,Now we have even a better shot of beating Buffalo"

Thats pathetic for those who do

Why is it pathetic? I don't want any players to be injured but, if they are, I see nothing wrong with noting that it makes the game easier to win. The same applies to the idea of being happy that a player who's already injured will be injured on your week. It doesn't mean that you're happy that they are injured. It simply means that, since they are injured, you're glad that your team gets the benefit of being the game that player misses.

It's not like the Pats have a healthy set of starters. Levels the playing field.

I'd guess that most every NFL fan would prefer an alternate universe where NO player ever missed a game because of injury. This isn't it.

With a short week for the Pats it would be very risky to expect someone just coming back to play Sunday and then again Thursday.
Let them all heal till Thursday.
