Anyone else happy with his running style? I'm not going to call him a "stud" or anything but you've got to be pretty happy with his production so far. He seems like he would be able to pick up 5-7 yds on a fairly consistent basis.

Re: Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis

Dude I know its crazy if he keeps it up he may find a spot on this team

Re: Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis

It's the Colts. Their middle linebacker is Gary Coleman.

In short, don't get too excited just yet,

Re: Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis

I agree. I hope he has some durability which has been an issue at RB over the last couple of years.

Willis????????????????????

Re: Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis

I like how he doesn't dance, just hits the damn hole :]

Re: Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis

It's BenJarvus and yes he runs hard and doesn't go down easy. Still hope Morris and Jordan get healthy.

Re: Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis

BJGE is listed a 5 -11 he looks smaller to me

Agreed. He runs hard and seems to hit the hole well. No dancing.

He's 217 lbs and he rans far more decisively than Maroney ever did. As the coach said 'less dancing'.

I don't know if he can still gain a little more speed but he'll be a killer if he was faster.

hes no where near a starting caliber RB in this league. he just doesnt have much speed, power, or vision. hes like a poor mans ced benson

I don't know about the Power or vision part.

I prefer his runing style over Maroney's that's for sure. But at the moment it's a bit boom or bust with BJGE. It's like one play he'll get stuffed at the line of scrimmage and the other he will break a tackle or two and get 6 yards. This is probably on the O-Line though.

BJGE is a good placeholder atm. He hasn't broken any big plays, and he hasn't shown anything in the passing game. He has gotten better each game, and hopefully he can keep the trend up.

Solid production. Morris/Jordan wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome. Can't ask more from a backup. Hope he doesn't catch the injury bug.

Every back is "boom or bust."

Every back has 1 yard carries.

Average per carry is what you're looking for, really... "burst" for 20 and 30 and 50 yard gains is a bonus. And above all you need a guy who can pound the ball 2 and 3 yards... who might not be the same guy that's your regular back.

He might get himself a spot... let's see how he looks against a Pittsburgh or a Baltimore or the equivalent and see if he ekes out 70 yards... that's kind of a test. The Colts is kind of a giveaway.

I know. But it seems that Morris is more consistent. I still like BJGE though and I think he has a nice career here ahead of him.

he is a good back up

wouldnt want him starting, but he definitly has a spot in this league

im happy with what ive seen considering hes udfa
