Bleacher Report: Why Brady's career is over

I think the reason they have so much hate is because they know he is that good and obviously there are a lot of people who just hate better players than what their team has.

That and there just scared to face him, I dont blame them though id be scared too...

Re: Article: Why Tom Brady's Career Is Over.

This was written by Claudio 21 - a real authority

Relax, Brady will be fine.

While it is true that Claudio 21 is not a doctor, he did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Are you bleeping kidding me?

Why Tom Brady's Career Is Over. | Bleacher Report

The end is near Boston. Brady goes down, the Red Sox lose to Tampa, and now Brady may be done for good. The biggest star outside of Larry Legend in Boston history may never play a down again.

The mistake of not waiting the extra weeks will probably cost Brady his career. It's reported that the infection is serious and another surgery could be on the horizon. What I don't understand, is the rush on Brady's part

As Forest said, "Stupid is as Stupid Does."

How dare you dismiss his insight. Claudio 21 has a journalism degree and he has had knee surgery. Plus, he is a Lions fan so he knows good football. And he played football at some level.

Given all this similar background to Brady, the fact he likely got the same top flight surgeon that a world class athlete would expect, and given his experience with the NFL and Brady's medical record, this guy has something to offer.

Seriously, he's a freakin' blogger. He would be just as credible if he said Brady might experience complications from winged monkeys flying out his butt as a result of the infection. Ridiculous.

He also chose California because the doctor he chose to do the surgery is one of the best in the world at what he does. It isn't like he decided to go to some hack in California over the best doctors in the world in Massachusetts.

More precisely, he picked a doctor who's among the best in the world at something SIMILAR.

It was NOT the best medical choice he could have made. It was merely close to the best.

Re: Article: Why Tom Brady's Career Is Over.

Having three surgeries in such little time is very disturbing. I don't think he's career is over, but I don't think he will ever be the same.

That was a very subtle way to demonstrate that we should ignore Claudio's article because basically anyone on the Internet can post anything they want with no real logic and no real justification behind it.

Wasn't it?

Re: Article: Why Tom Brady's Career Is Over.

People,
Way back in the olden days, uncritical folks whined "But it was in the PAPER" referring to an old media device known as the newspaper. Now today's uncritical consumers of bytes refer to posts on sites like Bleacher Report not realizing that ANYONE can post there. This particular site used to feature mindless rants from a senile old coot in Arizona who used to spam Patsfans with myriad posts castigating the offensive coordinator and other obsessions. Why anyone cares what basicly any idiot can post bereft of factual content befudles me.

Until Brady's doctors announce his infection has cleared, it's pointless to discuss his future in the NFL.

Who said they're going to discuss his condition at all?

AMEN! The Patriots were probably very UNHAPPY with all the information about that infection getting out and causing that media circus. The Pats DO NOT talk about injuries. IMHO, they probably told Brady's doctor to keep his mouth shut.

As for Brady's career being over, I am very surprised to see so many people not only talking about it but hoping for it. What did Brady do to deserve such HATRED? I can understand the hate from fans of other teams, but the Hatred from Patriots fans is very sad.

I liked Tom Brady and will miss him. He was a good QB.

;)

OK, that's absolutely ridiculous.

He's only 21 and went through the surgery when he was what, 18?

So..

Chances are he's not 1/10th in the physical shape Brady's in

He damn sure isn't paying what Brady is, meaning he isn't getting 1/4th the attention and care a multi million dollar athlete is.

But other than that, yeah, real comparable. Glad he can teach us what it's like, considering he's a former NFL player who knows what it's like coming back and all.../sarcasm

Most fans of other teams realize that, as long as people like Brady are around, their team's chance of winning a Super Bowl becomes very, very small. Still a pathetic way to be a 'fan' of the sport, but that's how a lot of people are.

I didn't read a single response to this thread. And I will say this the OP is an idiot for posting a link to this garbage without a warning!

I won't break down the morons point of view, but can we at a minimum, get an article from someone that has a clue? Mcnabb has had an injured Sports herniah, and Palmer has had an elbow injury. Can anyone tell me what the hell those injuries have to do with a prior knee injury?

I don't think Pats fans are expressing "hatred" for TB. I just think more than a few are frustrated and are also uncertain and, frankly, afraid.

The info is coming out in dribs and drabs. The rumors that the team is ticked off at Tommy for his choice of surgeon and hospital are probably just that, (i.e., rumors), but, for many, "where there's smoke, there's fire."

This is surgery that doesn't need complications and infections to be career-threatening. Every injury and every knee are different, so the success of others doesn't predict success in this case.

I think a lot of us, myself included, will breathe a sigh of relief the day that it's announced the infection has cleared up and his recuperation is on a normal course. Then, another sigh of relief when we hear that Brady is back in Foxboro and not only starting rehab, but becoming a presence in the locker room again. Until then, everything is just speculation, but it's hard to blame people for being worried.

By the way...if one wishes to communicate with this idiot..they can gollow a few of the original links..that has a degree in journalism is truly pathetic..

Why would you say that is having a degree in journalism is "truly pathetic"? The story and writing are no worse than most of the tripe that 'journalists' of all stripes (politics, sports, etc...) have been handing us for at least the past 20 years.

How do you know it wasn't the best? Maybe it was. Dr.ElAttrache is generally recognized as one of the best orthopedic surgeons specializing in knees in the world. How do you know that he isn't worlds better than any doctor Brady could have gotten here. Why? Because he isn't as big of a name as Dr. James Andrews (Dr. Andrews has said Dr. ElAttrache is his go-to guy if he needs a consult)?

From everyone in the media who actually knows about who is the best out there has said that Brady couldn't have done any better than Dr. ElAttrache. He specializes in knees. shoulders, and elbows. He was the Rams' team doctor when they were in LA. To say he is not a specialist in ACL repairs is just wrong.
