All I have heard is that he is going to play.....I believe that the Pats injury report does not have him listed.....but that doesn't really tell me how he really is doing.....Just curious, because having a 100% healthy Jordan would keep Indy on their toes a bit....Jordan is the kind of runner that needs a little blocking to get it done.....OL opens up something resembling a "hole" and Jordan will plow his way successfully......But, even if he is still dinged up....and having to rotate through with Ellis, and Faulk......the Pats should do well against their defense if they commit to the run....and the OL does a HALF decent job of run blocking.......

Belichick went into detail on his Friday press conference, talking about exactly how this type of injury affects players, what types of plays they can play through, what types of plays they really can't execute right, planting and cutting, the whole gammet. It was quite interesting.

did he really do that? Or is this a joke?

IDK about Jordan Im still hoping BJGE can emerge as a Willie Parker type player for us even though its probably a long shot.

You left out the part where he said that Jordan is 66.67% ready as of this specific date. He refused to give a 4 figure percentage for 8:30 PM EST Sunday, the bastid!

Yep, fascinating stuff. Too bad that burst of solar radiation kept any of it from being recorded for posterity.

Exactly 8.2422967%.

As to address the title of the thread:

Jordan hasn't been close to 100% since week 3 of his rookie year.

wont matter. pats always try and come out throwing at the colts than running even when they had histortically poor run D's and we had dillon and maroney in the backfield. BB wants to score pts and quickly against the colts and is always aggressive in the passing game. tommorow will be no different. With dedric ward as our receiver we deactivated antowain smith against the colts once. go figure.

Unfortunately, you heard wrong:

Patriots blog - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

As a matter of interest, who was your source?

out

apparently not close enough.

True....except you are talking about a time when Matt Cassel is the QB ....and not Tom Brady........Cassel has done an admirable job as the backup QB here against the schedule thus far.....However, to expect that he will be throwing the long ball ....or even intermediate ball most of the first half against this D......is not being realistic....I still think their pass D is decent....especially if Sanders plays...which I believe they say he will......IF we can run the ball decently against this team and then catch them off guard with play action passing (reverse the usual game plan).......we should be able to win it....But to expect Cassel to go out there gunslinging....is ludicrous......

Do you mean that Jordan is out? Where did u hear this?.....I've gotten alot of jacka## answers on this topic......but, it is IMPORTANT...especially this week...I do think that NO JORDAN matters against the colts.....

Anyone think that this is the kind of game where we might see Heath Evans as a lone back a significant number of times?

See post above

You are right....and so is the poster that originally stated this......per Yahoo Sports (at the least) Jordan and Morris are out again.....so we are going with Ellis and Faulk.......

I think we will see more of Ellis and Faulk.........It seems like games where we go alot with Heath Evans back there....he gets stonewalled alot at the LOS......I think this is going to be one of those "I have NO idea what the Fu(k to expect" from the running game" kind of weeks!!! Should be interesting......GO PATS!!! Maybe Ellis is going to be a diamond in the rough for us!!!!!

Possible, but BenJarvus actually has pretty good size and power.

He has good power, but at 5-11, 215 lbs he is not that big for a running back. It was tough to tell last game if some of his lesser runs were a product of a lack of quickness or good defensive reads.

If Bob Sanders is back to form, I am not sure it would matter if Jordan played or not. The running yardage would be down. The weakness is the new corner and secondary of the Colts, so Cassel will have to hit his throws to keep Sanders off the line. Hopefully Welker has a big game.

well..yes but for some reason pats never run a lot against indy. Even SD game , we were running the ball well on the first drive but didnt do much later. There have been some situations and games when we have committed to the running game this season but we havent done it when it was there even in the past.
The yr dillon and maroney were together and indy came to foxboro, our receiving core was gabriel and caldwell and co and we still didnt run the ball a whole lot.
BB doesnt believe in the , 'run the ball and keep the ball away from the other team ' a whole lot . And with marlin jackson out and sanders back in he will try and go out throwing the ball even if its matt cassel.iam not saying it will be sucessful but i think thats what they will do. even if jordan had played.
