I believe that every deed receives a payback and to their surmise, their "golden boy" will experience his. It's almost inevitable in a league as rough as the NFL. And their back-up isn't an unproven commodity like Cassell...Sorgi just flat-out SUX!
Isn't that what 90% of this board said about Cassel last summer? I don't recall anyone, even me who has had the world's biggest mancrush on Cassel since he was drafted, never called him a proven commodity (though I did point out repeated his excellent game playing with scrubbies against the Doofins first string Defense a couple years ago.

I would not shed a tear if Pay me a Ton was out for the rest of the season after Sunday night.

At this point, I am slowly coming around to believing that Cassel can be an effective starting QB. When Brady went down I said that Cassel would need 8 games before I would be convinced. So far, he has been "good-enough", but let's see what he does tomorrow night. It could be his "coming out" party or an indication that he won't be able to lead the Pats to and into the playoffs.

As far as the Colts back-up situation stands, it's pretty apparent from past performances that Sorgi is just a warm body holding onto a clipboard and Indy would have to bring in a veteran IFManning ever goes down for a lengthy amount of time. Based on the O'Connell pick, Belichick is planning for the future and the possibilty of life without Brady.

Are both the colts' spin-around-in-a-circle guys healthy or is one of them out? I forget.
