Super Bowl or loss to Indy in AFC title the year before?

Other similar surveys coming soon.......

* Would you rather lose you left nut in a snowmobile accident or your right nut in jet skiing accident?

It's warmer when I'm jet skiing, so that.

* Would you rather chop off your left ear with an axe or chop off your right ear with knife?

I have poor hearing in my right ear, so that.

* Which superbowl loss did you enjoy more '85 or '96?

'96, by far. Lots of fun in NO and I luckily never got to buy a ticket. Left with a pocket full of cash. So that.

* Would you rather get knocked unconscious by being hit over the head with frying pan or suffer 3rd degree burns from hot oil?

I choose to be unconscious, but I usually do, so that.

I hate when that happens........;)

The SB was worse.

Against the Colts - they were clearly a better team. If that game was played 10 times, they would have won 7, especially at the RCA. So even though the Pats were in good position to win (I've wanted Evans to get cut ever since the 12th man in the huddle penalty when they were one first down away). Plus Brady missed a wide open Caldwell on the far right (when you can see Belichick's kid going wild.....) with a quick snap would have been a slam dunk TD.

The SB was worse because it was the year of perfection - best team ever - best offense ever - etc etc.

Some Pats fans at that game I heard made hotel reservations for Miami at halftime!

Colts fans were drinking and heavily.

I remember telling my father at halftime that I just wanted the Colts to make the game respectable and to not get completely embarrassed again. I don't know what happened at halftime. I hear Dungy told the team he promised we would win. I heard Adam V. gave a little speech.

I felt robbed last year. I felt for sure it would be a rematch between us in the AFCCG. Damn Chargers.

But, I also knew with the way our pass rush was we would likely not have beaten the Pats but still I wanted to see us meet up again.

I haven't seen the game since it happened, so my memory is hazy; was that the play where Caldwell completely dropped it? Or was that a different play?

Same play - that's what was so agonizing - Pats sideline is going nuts and then just collapses after the Caldwell drop.

While not nearly on the same level, obviously, I always thought the loss to Denver the year before (05-06) was awful too. We moved the ball well, they didn't. We just gave it to them, turnovers, penalties, etc. And since the next day Pitt beat Indy, one of our worst teams of recent years would have hosted the AFC title game.

didnt Dungy pull his pants down, point to his butt, and tell the team "This is how you playing"?

oh wait......that wasnt Dungy. Sorry..:)

Super bowl, Super bowl Super bowl Super bowl!!!

So as you can see I'm undecided.

Would have KILLED the Bears.
Yeah, just like we were supposed to kill the Giants.

I mean I know it sounds, Hell even sounded corny back when he was saying it, but 42 was a chance for us to go in Jr. Seau's words into that "Ever" category. For us to have had something that was so special, even more so than a simple Super bowl win.

Losing 42 made me in to a better fan. I don't have these wild swings of emotion any more, when Brady went down I wasn't as devestated as I would have been had that happened pre 42, but still I'd give almost anything to have that game. I hate the Giants now more than I ever hated the Colts, the Steelers, the Jets, and all the other teams combined. I wish them nothing but the worst for the rest of their existence for what they did to us.

its makes me puke that the Patriots were 2 defensive stops away from 5 super bowls in 7 years.

Physically sick.

Not to mention, if the Ben Watson hit on Champ Bailey is called correctly and the Patriots get the ball on a touchback, the Patriots probably roll through Pitt at home (they beat Indy at RCA that weekend) and then a laughable Seattle team in the Motor City.

It's like getting kicked in the head or the nuts. Both suck, and I can never accept losing to those piece of crap whiney ***** ass dolts.

BUT

losing a shot at immortality...Still to this day that loss stings so bad.

I'm surprised that anyone would think the Indy loss was worse. Not even close for me. The Super Bowl was a historic flop. Teams lose leads, but going 18-0 and losing the last one...to a team they already beat...to achieve greatness never before imagined...

Again, not even close for me.

especially in the last two minutes

I tend to agree. Our rivalry with all the other teams we've built up one with (including the Colts) somehow feels dimmer when compared to the bitterness I feel for the Giants. I guess we kinda know how the St. Louis Rams feel about us now. :p

3rd and 4....
