Personally I think the moment I heard Addai and Sanders are practicing and expected to play is not because this is a must win for the Colts - It is not because they could still go 10-6 and make the playoffs meaning even a loss and then another does not end the season.

I think its an issue of the fact that its the hated Patriots they are playing and even if these 2 guys are gimpy, Dungy,Polian and his arrogant group want BADLY to beat the Patriots and do whatever it takes and put these guys out earlier than they should be out there - I think its risky and I bet they are nowhere near 100% ready to be back playing.

I think any other team but the Patriots, and Addai and Sanders are sitting out another week.

May be a dumb move and would not surprise me if Addai or Sanders get more injured than they already are and one of these 2 goes on IR after the game.

The Pats are the softest team the Colts have faced yet this season.

I am not lying.

BTW Sanders was predicted to return for this game for weeks. Addai and Rhodes will split carries.

But does it matter? People overanalyze injury reports way too much. The show must go on no matter who is playing. You can't predict games based on injuries if you know football.

No.

If they were going to do that with either player it would have been last week against the Titans.

Addai will give the Colts the much needed stretch play back.

Sanders will give the Colts defense much more needed balls.

The backups have been doing a great job but the starters in these cases have the intangibles that open up both sides of the ball.

No, the issue is you want badly to beat the Colts and are fishing for silly things to work yourself up about.

I don't think this game is important enough for a Colts player to "play hurt" and risk further injury. Playoffs? Yes. Indy-Pats last year? Yes. 3-4 vs 5-2? No.

Disagree. This game is huge for the knockout punch and mentality needed to salvage the season. A lot of players with mild aches and pains who may not have played if we had a winning record will likely play.

Honestly, I can't see any shred of a reason to think this. The Titans game was critical and nobody was "rushed back," and this game would be important to the Colts regardless of who was playing.

Well, other than the Rams and 49ers, the Colts are the softest team the Pats have faced yet this season too. So we have something in common. The Pats will not face a team this season that is going to make it to the playoffs until they play the Bills next week.

Bills are not a lock yet either btw.

Nobody is in the AFC but the Titans and Steelers.
BTW if you think the Colts with Sanders are not less soft than the Broncos defense I give up on you sweetie.

Every game going forward is a big enough game for the Colts to play hurt players. They are playing for their playoff lives. By the end of November they will probably be playing to stay above .500 for the season though. They are playing 5 teams in November that you can argue are better than them right now. NE, Pittsburgh, Houston, San Deigo, and Cleveland. Yes, even Cleveland has been playing better, more consistent football than the Colts. This is why the Colts have to play anyone who can play because they could have six or seven losses by December 1. So every win is important.

Of course Colts fans will say for the fifth game in a row that this is the game they get their crap together and go on a run.

I don't say a thing. If we win we win, if we lose we lose. Either way the sun will rise and shine and go down.

But, you cannot predict anything this year. The AFC sucks. Unless an AFC team has it in them, the NFC will win the SB again likely. And probably the Giants who are the best team by far in football. (and I don't think it's the Titans, Pats, Bills etc. who can beat a team like the Giants)

The Colts possibly could have won the last SB to end the AFC dominance.

The Giants almost lost to the Bengals at Giants stadium - While the Giants are a very good team they are not distant from the rest of the league - A great team beats the Bengals by 30 not by a last quarter decision.

The Giants can be beaten by any team at any time,I do not think they are anywhere near infallible and if the Cowboys upset them this week I for one would definately not be shocked.

You didn't have the stretch play with Addai - I think he's not the issue there.

You had Sanders balls in the first few games and those didn't seem to be the issue there.

If your backups or starters had been doing a great job because of all their intangibles you wouldn't be 3-4. I fact if not for Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels being a colossal dud and an absolute putz respectively, you'd be 1-6 heading into this weekend.

The Giants also got embarrased by the Vikings last year, who did not make the postseason. And they lost to the Cowboys twice in the regular season. In 06 I always felt we would win it all despite beating teams like the Bills and Titans who we should have blown out.

It's painful but we may be seeing a switching of powers. The NFC after years of being a joke is better again.

No matter how great a team you are you still will likely lose a game to a lesser team at times. This season is any given Sunday at full force. Any team can be beaten at any time but champions can overcome those losses.

What I am saying here is Addai and Sanders could not have played against the Titans last week because they were still in a situation where it would have been impossible for them to play but since they are probably a little bit healthier out there this week with a few more days to get better they may play but the question is are they really in good enough condition to play even near 90% healthy? or is it because they want them out there to have a better chance to beat their #1 nemisis for the past decade despite them not being in top shape?.

Besides what many of you think, My opinion remains the same that if the Colts were playing the Lions,Raiders,Bengals or 49ers or any other crappy team this week - Addai and Sanders are sipping Gatorade on the bench and staying there.

Yes, luck is crucial to a teams success. The Colts have two lucky wins this season. I know this. They will have more too.

I am not sure what to think of our defense the first game and a half Sanders was there but we were still in the game. I blame our offense more. Sanders backup has been great as well. Rhodes has been great too.

Any proof we had the stretch play with Addai more was with the Jags game, but the offense was hardly on the field and we never seem to stick with the run enough when its working.

I don't buy it. The Pats game just seemed to fall at the right time for a few guys to come back is all. Sanders was suppposed to be out 4 to 6 weeks. Addai 2 to 4. They are on track here.

I wished they played on MNF instead but they likely were not ready. I don't think either guy not playing cost us the Titans game at all.

Marvin Harrison reminds me of our Troy Brown - He was always there to make a catch at a tough time late in his career and in his mid 30s but you can clearly see he has slowed down big time when in the past he would be far seperated from his defender.

Troy went through that his final few years where you could see his skills diminishing little by little and Harrison is in pretty much in the same boat

Gonzalez has emerged as the #2 threat behind Wayne at the WR position IMO and if Wayne does not play tomorrow then it could be Gonzalez getting alot of action

So you think if it were a team playing the Colts with a record of say 1-6 ,0-8 or 2-5 these 2 would be playing this week?
