yet they are not nearly as good.

Goes to show how important coaching and experience in this league is.

Disagree. I'd take maybe 3 of their players on D (Harris, Rhodes and Revis, Bryan Thomas at a push), whilst on O.....1 perhaps? And it won't be the one you're thinking of.

I don't agree with that. I think their talent is overrated.

How do you figure? If you break it down by position, no way. Not even close.

They are 1 game behind us.

BritPat, I would take Pace too, though not at his high salary. He's solid. So is Jenkins but we do not have a need there. He's been very good by just about all the accounts that I've seen.

I actually think they're going to win tomorrow, though I realize I might be in the minority.

They're comparable, but not quite where we are. I might take their secondary over ours now that Rodney is out, at least Rhodes over either of our safeties and Revis over any of our corners. Jenkins, Pace, and B. Thomas are all comparable with Pats players at those positions, what with Vrabel having lost a step and I dare say A. Thomas being overrated.

On offense, I like Mangold, Faneca , and Favre over our current players at those positions, but we still have the greater balance of better players. Magina is building a decent team though. They'll compete for a spot this year.

This is laughable.Their wrs arent as good as our guys.I hope we beat them again.

No way in hell the Jets are anywhere near talented. They have a handful of good players but not ONE player that is great.

Harris, Rhodes, Revis (who is decent but not nowhere as good as advertised) and maybe Jenkins as a vet. Pace can't cover anyone to save his life.

Funny, we were saying the same thing about the pats until Brady and moss were breaking records last year. Many would argue that Favre is a great player. He's owns all big three passing records - passes, completions, and touchdowns. Some would point out that he also has the most career interceptions. But you can't say that he is not great.

I would even argue that without Brady we have a handful of good players but not one that is great.

When you think about it, both teams have two first ballot hall of famers - our Brady and Moss vs their Favre and Faneca. Seymour looks to make the HOF, but Jenkins is a possibility there too.

I'm not arguing in favor of the OP, the Jets are not that close to the pats , but there are a lot of patsfans who don't give them as much credit as they deserve.

Faneca is not a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Watch me. ;) I was doing the happy dance for hours when I found out he was going to the Jests.

If there are two teams I hate, its the Jets and Steelers. But objectively, you have to admit that Faneca is first ballot - he's a perennial probowler and he's got the ring. I don't know how he looks this year but assuming he's playing at the same level he has been and goes to the probowl, its tough to argue.

I really want to see Mankins get his attitude back... he seems to have the past few games. If he continues to play at a pro bowl level I'll say the same thing about him.

No, I don't have to admit that Faneca is a first ballot Hall of Famer. I don't even have to 'admit' that he's a Hall of Famer at all. And it's not as if I'm alone questioning his future HOF status. He's a 'maybe' guy to ESPN too.

I'd definitely take Washington too

Ofcourse, its easy to be subjective.. harder to be objective. Judging by his career, there is no question Favre is one of the all time greats.

HAHAHAHAHA - as submitted by reader "Cartman" on Zimbio - Interactive Magazine, "An Interactive Magazine With 10 Million Readers A Month" .

This was a list he submitted to ESPN, it is not ESPN content. He also likes Shaun Alexander as a definite for his three seasons of work.

You might want to re-read that. The list is ESPN's, the commentary from "Cartman". Faneca doesn't crack the top 10 for ESPN.

Then take a look at the O-linemen in the hall, think of who'll be coming out in the upcoming years on the line and elsewhere, and I think you'll find yourself re-thinking your position.

unfortunately my brother is a Jets fan so I pretty much watch all their games (TIVO) and you are absolutely wrong about Pace. He is an excellent LB in their scheme.. He does it all.. He can get to the passer, play the run and drop back and cover the TE.. He's been their best front seven players.. Jenkins would be a close second..

Harris has had an off year this year but yes I would still take him..

Revis has like 1 TD against him this year.. This was there best pick in years..

Jenkins is a beast in the middle.. He'll be good for a year or two but Wilfork is just as good now and will be better long term..

Rhodes would be a HUGE upgrade in our Secondary.. HUGE..

I think the Jets have a pretty talented team on paper. They've certainly expended enough paper money putting them together.

But the Redskins have always spent a lot of money on guys who had a lot of "talent" on their resume as well and it's never really paid off for them.

So someone could compare player for player and even if they could prove that the Jets have a better OL (especially with all of our current injuries) I'd still take our guys over any of theirs.

If Favre played his entire career like he has the last four years, he wouldn't even sniff the HOF. Favre is a HOF for what he did for his entire career where most of his great years were in the 90s. Feneca has been on steady decline the last few years too.

Torry Holt is most likely a HOFer. Would you trade Welker for him right now? Odds are Welker won't even get HOF consideration.

The Jets don't have the talent the Pats have. Former great players who are average do not count as talent just because they have the name recognition.
