The schedule in November will make or break their season in my opinion. The schedule breaks down as follows:

11/2 @ Indy
11/9 vs. Buffalo
11/13 vs. Jets
11/23 @ Miami
11/30 vs. Pittsburgh

I'm hoping they can go at least 3-2 during this stretch, putting them at 8-4 and most likely in the drivers seat for a playoff spot. I'm actually glad the Pats have 10 days leading up to the game @ Miami, as I feel they will play them tough.

How does everyone else feel the month of November is going to shake out?

You feel that five games will make or break the season? Now there's some insight! LOL, just messing with ya.

I think the Steelers might be the toughest game of the bunch, honestly, if Ben can keep from hitting the IR.

Just a hunch, but I have a feeling more injuries are coming that will soften our schedule a bit. I'm not hoping for it, just a gut feeling.

Matt will keep improving and he or Faulk will be the team MVP by the end of that stretch, imo.

I don't see us losing to The bills or Jets. No way at all do we come close to losing to the Fins again, this is the lock of the season! The Indy and Pitt games are the two games I can see us losing. The Pitt game may hold some serious top-seed potential but I see BB holding a lot back with the intent of meeting again in the playoffs.

The Bills aren't going to lie down for the Pats. Granted, our D Line is banged up (Schobel) and our secondary is playing merry go round but I think we stand a pretty good chance. Lynch needs to play a bigger part in the run game and Edwards will spread the ball around. Should be a good game, can't wait.

I'm going to say this right now: no way do we lose to Miami again. That wildcat crap is not going to work against us twice in a season and, by the time the game rolls around, we should have a much stronger offensive line than we did when we played them last. If anything, Bills and Steelers are the two most possible losses. I think the Jets and Phins are locks for wins. We NEED to beat the Bills though and that is going to be a very good game.

There is way too much tape on that now for it to ever be game changing again. The Ravens snuffed it out and so did the Bills. You'll be fine.

I do believe we catch the Bills at the right time. That game will be their third straight division game and the second of the three on the road.

That team is good and it will be interesting to see if their inexperience shows or hinders them in the long run.

I think to many on here over estimate Indy. I won't guarantee a win because this team is to up and down for me to do that. But at the same time if Matt continues to see the field better and make quick decisions, this team could go on an extended winning streak.

Let's look at these games for a minute:

11/2 @ Indy - Small fast Defensive line, ok offensive line. D-backs are just OK right now and we'll see what upgrade Sanders gives them. Peyton Manning is a diva and whiney biatch, but he is still pretty good at what he does. The recievers are the going to kill our seconary. This is going to be a very tough game to win.

11/9 vs. Buffalo - This is really nice team. They have a good O-line who can open some holes. They run the ball really well. Their passing game is focused on one player, take him out of the game and the Pats win.

11/13 vs. Jets - Their whole team sucks. The D should be pretty good, but they only play OK when they want to. Their offense has been bad to horrible all season. Brett doesn't have the tall recievers he had in GB and it is showing in his game. Their running game just took a hit. The Pts should be able to win this one at home.

11/23 @ Miami - Pay back time. The problem is they run the ball really well and we don't always stop the run real well. Plus Pennington seems to have his best games against up, or he gets hurt during the game. The Pats should put a beating on them but ...

11/30 vs. Pittsburgh - I hope I am wrong about this one, but this looks like an ugly game. The Steelers do well what we don't defend well and their weaknesses don't really match up with our strengths. They run the ball well, throw the ball deep well and blitz the hell out of the QB. The good thing is Cassel has 4 games to get better before he plays them.

Realistically I expect 3 and 2, or 2 and 3. If we get really lucky and the football gods smile down on us 4 and 1 is a possiblity.

I would like to say 5 and 0, but I just don't see it. I hope I am wrong.

If they go 3-2 with the three wins being Buf, Pit, and NYJ/Mia, they will be very well-positioned not only for the playoffs, but the #2 seed.

That's because Pit & Buf wins give them tie-break for playoff seed ranking and division, respectively.

Pitt's schedule is brutal and will probably finish 10-6.

In fact, the #2 seed could very well hinge on NE@Buf Week 17 ...

Well, with all due respect, if you see Chad Pennington lined up at receiver, why not tackle him? He's not exactly known for his durability. . . .

You can block him. But you only tackle the guy who has the ball.

3 division games, 1 game agaisnt teh colts, and 1 agaist the current 2nd AFC seed...

yea, ill say its a tough month...

i dont see us coming out with worse then 3-2 though, and i think we can easily go 5-0

All depends on this week, we win i and id guess 4-1, we lose...2-3 maybe

This is absolutely crazy. So if a ball is thrown by a non-qb, there's a likely chance that the ball is not thrown on a rope, but rather like a swan gracefully gliding on the blue sky which falls into the (not a football wide out) the qb's hands upon which a hungry head hunting safety pounds the qb as hard as possible not caring whether the qb actually catches the ball, but rather the once in the lifetime opportunity to pummel a player who is way out of position who has been burned you in previous games in your livelihood. Yea, not that I really dislike Chad, but I want to see him at wide out.

As far as I know they've never passed to Pennington when they have him lined up. If the ball comes into his vicinity a safety could destroy him, but if it doesn't it's a dirty, illegal hit. They'd be pretty stupid to actually pass to him in coverage.

What I would like to see is a safety line up against him in man and give him a nice shove, but that also removes a safety from the center of the field. Most teams probably don't like the risk involved.

too bad rodney's gone, if he was still here playin that hybrid role you might throw him over there to beat on ol' noodle arm for 5 yards...

It doesn't have to be dirty. Just a big hit, like its any other receiver on any given Sunday. I thought I might have seen him catch a pass last week. The reason being that I always thought he would always be a decoy (or maybe he was going to throw it, ala Randy, and the play died).
