The NFL and Roger Goodell have fined Wilfork but have decided not to suspend him for his elbow to the head of Jay Cutler. Wilfork was fined 4 different times last year but never suspended.

But to be fair, i beg the question, how does a player who gets fined 5 times in a year and a half be allowed to continue to play when he is clearly showing no respect for the NFL rules, and has established a precident to continue to break them despite being fined. Only a total of 45k for all 5 incidents and that is next to nothing compared to what this player makes. I do not feel the punishment is nearly enough and as Wilfork has shown in the past, its certainly not deturing him from continuing to make dirty hits.

What? No link to spygate with this latest gripe of yours? What will you say when Vick gets out of the slammer and is allowed to play next year? Or perhaps Pac man getting to play again? The list goes on and on. Do you remember Deacon Jones and Jim Brown? Speak up Troll?:singing:

See, the problem with you is that you don't bother to look at the context. Hell, even the current "fine" is BS.

Other players have been fined as much or more (see Roy Williams). But I don't see them getting suspended either.

The problem with you is that your hatred blinds you to reality.

Headslapping was not illegal when Jones used it. Michael Vick and Pacman have done worse things, and been suspended. Be-it not long enough but at least suspended.

Their issue did not have to do with on-the-field conduct. But you have said nothing about Wilfork. You have to stop defending wrong acts of a Patriot with wrong acts of another player or team. That is not a defense at all. Yes, its naming other bad players which is fine, but does nothing for any defense of your own player. Fine me one other player who has been fined 5 or more times within the past year for dirty hits, you wont.

The reason other players don't get suspended is because they are not repeat offenders, certainly not 5 times in a short span. It is Wilfork who stands alone for being the biggest repeat offender and the player who continues and continues and cant help himself.

You truly are stupid. Roy Williams, the safety from Dallas, is most certainly a repeat offender. So are other people. And yes, they have gotten 5 or more in a short time span. But you don't bother with facts.. You just spew about subjects you don't know about.

See Williams, Roy. Wilfork is getting a bit of a reputation for dirty hits, and I really don't think it's deserved looking at the actual things that have happened in context. I was more upset about Wilfork's eye poke than any of the hits in question.

While I'd certainly agree he still has some maturing to do, he certainly hasn't done anything worse than other players in the league who haven't gotten suspended for it. I've never seen him horse collar someone (not that he could catch someone from behind to do so).

The only reason Wilfork didn't get suspended is because there wasn't a CLEAR CUT shot proving BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that Wilfork did that. If there had been, Wilfork would have been suspended. As it turns out, such clear cut evidence wasn't present so he got fined. Do you honestly think that Jet fan Goodell would let this slide? Hell, I didn't even have to read your post to know exactly what you would say.

Goodell isn't a Jet fan, he's more of a pats one if anything. Did you know Robert Kraft recommended him?

With 5 repeat offenses and an intentional eye poke clear as day, it gets no more obvious. He wasn't suspended because goodell has a soft spot for NE.

Goodell's first job in the NFL was as an intern for the team he loved... the New York Jets. Look it up on Wikipedia if you don't believe me. The guy is 100% a Jet fan. And, believe me, Kraft wasn't the only one who recommended him at the time. Rooney put his stamp of approval on Goodell as well. Does that make him a Steeler fan? Nope.

..goodell has a soft spot for NE.

That's another fallacy. If he indeed had a soft spot, for Spygate, he would have made penalty of later draft pick and small fine and said it would go up everytime it happened again. Then people would have asked, if stealing signs is ok, why is taping then even an issue?

Instead, he grandstanded and made a mountain out of a molehill.

Goodell is a former Jets employee.. again, you don't have your facts correct. And, if I am not mistaken, Jonathan Kraft did not recommend him.
