Coaches send tapes like this to the league all the time. Stating it publically is bush league though.

Terms like whiny little bytch come to mind..

Agreed.

But, from ESPN's stance, you can get "BAD" and "PATRIOTS" in the headline together.

Haslett's STILL complaining about the spot of the punt? Maybe he should consider faulting his punter for making a pathetic kick.

I wish I understood why most fans see the Patriots as entitled when most teams proudly do garbage like this.

3 calls and 1 spot?

Doesn't sound like much complaining. Sounds like ESPN is making a bigger story of this than Haslett iss.

The Pats did have some calls go against them too. Most notably the refs blowing the whistle before Cassel took a knee at the end of the game. It was a poorly called game for both sides.

"Never ever, ever, ever played a perfect team before," Rams guard Richie Incognito said about the disparity, according to the report. "That's all I am going to say on that one."

Never ever, ever, ever have the Rams won a super bowl either, Richie. Can we assume that'll never happen also? :blahblah:

Haslett's vying for the HC position so he's trying to deflect responsibility. That's never a good thing for the long term success of a team. Good teams play through flags, find ways to win, don't blame the referees, and don't publicize things like this.

Whiny baby, indeed.

It actually wasn't a perfect game -- the Pats got flagged for holding. It was happenstance that the result of the play made declining the penalty the right call.

Wah, Wah, Wah :cry2:

The Rams did win a Superbowl, I believe in 2000. They thought they were going to repeat in 2001 and become a dynasty, the Pats spoiled that though. That's where the infamous line "a dynasty is born tonight" uttered by a rams player comes from. I forget who exactly said it though.

Anyways this tape is just petty. So the Pats didn't get called for as many penalties as the Rams. So what, that wasn't the difference in the game.

The Rams were trying to win their second Super Bowl in three years in 2002. Ravens won in 2001.

I think the Rams player that made the dynasty comment was Ricky Proehl.

Edit: yep, it was Proehl. http://www.consortiumnews.com/2005/020805.html
