Here are some partial Q&A’s with Kevin Faulk and Heath Evans from the Gillette Stadium locker room: Faulk on Cassel…*Cassel did a job to help us win the game. That’s all you can say about it, and that’s all we want to do — win games, no matter what it takes. And he did that. Kevin Faulk [...]

Heath Evans On Matt Cassel:
I’m not a quarterback coach, but at the end of the day, it looks like his balls are on target.

Ok, at first it's funny.

Secondly, that's very true. I only saw one BAD pass and one iffy pass. Key drops by our top dog receivers were the issue.

Anyway, nice hard fought win, thanks for the interviews, Chris.

I like the Heath Evans quote about what Cassel is like in the huddle:
"He's a goofball."

:D

Agreed. It made me laugh...

What’s his presence like in the huddle? He’s Matt Cassel. He’s a goofball. … He hasn’t changed.

Reminds me of when Cassel and Brady were getting into the prank war (two years ago?), and Brady told the press that he and Cassel fight like high school girls.

I think it sort of shows his ability to stay calm and grounded under pressure, much like Brady. Hopefully by playoff time we'll be talking about Matt Cool the way we often talk about Tom Cool.

Heath Evans...

Does it amaze you that a guy who really hasn’t played until this year is making such marked strides week to week… No, because Bill Belichick had him here. I know that’s a planned answer, but at the end of the day, Bill always says, ‘You’re not going to be here unless I have confidence in you.’ I’ve learned in my last four years to trust him. … There aren’t many times when he’s wrong, and if he is, he’s always the first one to admit it. He’s coached well.
The #1 reason Uncle Boxter gets called a "homer," IBBIT.

Thanks for the kind words, JSn--a great day for foottball, and a good win for the home team. (FWIW, when Evans said that, I sort of thought to myself, "Boy, that's gonna look funny on the page.")

Which just proves you've been hanging out with folks like us much to often for your sanity. :D
