I used to post lists of Gil's screwups, but that was too exhausting. Just now I was reminded that when he calls a turnover play one way, you almost need to reverse what he says to guess which team got the ball. A minute ago, the Rams started the 2nd half with an onside kick, and Gil says "recovered by... the Patriots..... NO, the Rams!" It never fails. I want to sue for emotional whiplash.

A minute ago, after describing a Ben Jarvis Green run and then changing the story to be Kevin Faulk, Gil described a Cassell throw into the endzone: "Touchdown! ... NO! ...."

Whoever signs his paycheck clearly is not listening to his broadcasts.

Update: while I was typing this, Hobbs was defending a pass, and Gil said "... could be picked off. IT IS! Incomplete...."

This guy must be stopped. Dear Mr. Kraft, please fire Mr. Santos.

Plus you can't even count on the numbers, either. I mean, the Pats ran the ball from the STL 14 to the STL 12--and he says they take the ball to the 16 (a loss of 2).

Will you guys ever run out of crap to complain about. Enjoy the win for god sakes.

LOL, amen :)

Gil has been painful to listen to for a while. Which is really sad, actually, as he used to be one of the best - I used to love to listen to his broadcast. I'll never forget his call in the SB in 2001.

Time to hang em' up, Gil, before someone hangs em up for you. Please go out like Michael Strahan, and not Brett Favre... ;)

I'll take his job off his hands. I'd be like that Monte Guy in Major League 2.

"Ball Hit......"

".....Caught."

To be fair it was until Randy didn't hang onto it.

My favorite one was the touchdown pass in 2006 to Laurence Maroney Doug Gabriel.

My other favorites are when Gil goes an entire big play saying it's a different player than who it is, until Gino corrects him after the play. No wonder the NFL has to use opposing radio so often.

Gil is the man...period. Hell, when I saw Matt toss that pass to Moss in the endzone, I yelled "TOUCHDOWN!!!"...then "AHH SH!T!!!". At least Gil kept it clean.
