I give him a B+ today and would have been better had it not been for 2 INTs, one of which were Welker slipped and also at least 3 clear drops by his recievers, one a long reception to Welker and the other close to a TD by Moss

He is looking better and more poised each game, granted he had better blocking today but he also looks to me like he's getting the ball away a little quicker and I bet Moss (7 for 100+) and Welker (7 for 79) arent complaining

Good job Matt

A. He was awesome today. Neither INT was his fault, and there were a few more dropped passes. He still tucks and runs a bit too much, but overall was terrific.

plus on a few key plays his receptions didn't help him by dropping a few ones...also the pick to Welker isn't really on Cassel

B+ is a fair grade. He made some ill advised throws but overall he looked more comfortable in the pocket today and led the team down the field. If his receivers didn't drop so many balls his grade would be up to an A-.

Very good today. Much more confident.

B.

Had some tough drops today, but also had one of those being by a Rams DB in the endzone.

I would give him a B.I cant give him a + yet but its nice seeing him get comfortable somewhat in the pocket.

I think his intangibles are definitely getting better and he's obviously getting on the page with the wideouts. Like to see the TE's more involved but remeber he had no running game today, was in shotgun most of the time and threw some great balls under pressure (the 23 yarder to Randy on 3rd and 10 comes to mind when he had 2 defenders in his face)

He looks a totally different QB to the one we saw in preseason

Disco about your signature - does Cassel or Brady get credit for the week 1 win?

IMO, He would have clearly had his best game so far if not for those picks which both looked like tough luck for the most part. But he did throw them into pretty tight coverage so they do affect my rating. He converted some 2nd/3rd and longs which is something we couldn't have expected from him in weeks past so to me that is huge. Moved the ball well as always and led the game winning drive(s) when it mattered. I give him a solid B, an A+ if not for those picks which could've been very costly.

Today he gets a B+. Hopefully he keeps progressing.

Officially, Brady was the starter so he gets the win.

But realistically it was Cassel's game due to how early the injury occured, thus it's a win in my signature. ;)

Solid B+, he looked like a real NFL QB today and I don't really think either INT were that bad.

I'll give him a B. You can't get an A when you turn the ball over twice. But if you're judging on the gamewinning drive alone, that drive was at least an A-. Pretty good poise there and a nice finish to Faulk.

I don't know about letter grades, but this was Cassel's best performance of the season. Good moves in the pocket, good throws, good decisions. It's not a coincidence that this was the first game where the line actually showed up (for the most part).

It's also exactly what I was talking about last week. Guys on the board kept yelling "3/0! 3/0!", but the difference is he earned every yard in this game. The two picks were not his fault. If anything our skill players were not helping him out enough.

REALLY hoping for more of this this season.

To me, this was his best game. Better then last week.

Today, he had very little help. He looked much more poised today.

B or B+. One of the picks was his fault, but there also were some drops made (Welker, Faulk, Moss in the end zone) that were good throws. I can't see giving him an A - last week against Denver was an A, and this performance was not at that level. But still, overall, a good game.

At least he's throwing it now to make those ints and it isnt just 5 yard check downs and dump offs. When we get a running back fit again then teams know they just cant stack the box because the kid can play

BB and McD obviously feel they can open up the playbook a little more and he MUST be getting more and more confident each game he plays - esp at reading the defenses
