I would never presume to post the official gameday thread. I've seen what happens to a honk up in this piece in the case of such an action.

Just winding down from 48 solid hours trapped in a van/classroom/concert-hall with teenagers and their off-the-charts hormones. A few thoughts before I go and try to sleep it off.

I don't think Steven Jackasson will play. Will he be active? Toughy.
Somehow the "game-time decision" ploy feels like just that: a ploy. Make the Pats do a lot of prep on a guy they won't really face.

We're at home and fired up. If Jackson's injury is at ANY risk of being aggravated/intensified, they'd be foolish to run him out there. It's not a division game for them. Statement maybe, but "Jackson to IR" is not the statement they want to make.

On the flip-side of this 20-sided die, I think we may also see Jordan or Morris active for tomorrow. Will they play? Hard to tell. Again, sneaking suspicion. We've seen a doubtful on Friday become an active on Sunday this season already.

If I'm wrong (and I'm willing to bet Ian's paycheque I may or may not be wrong) we will finally see Crable. How do I know? Cuz I checked with the political Magic-8 Ball. It said "very likely" in the top viewer when I asked if Jordan would play and "if not, someone else will" in the handy little contingency window on the side.

My guesses for Offensive MVP: BenJerry Green-Ellis or Matt Casselhoff (yip, I stole it, it was funny).

My guesses for Defensive MVP: Gary Girlton or Brenda Wearinleather.

BM is going to be a pick-machine this year. Longer field time is only going to make this more obvious. I thought the first one was a fluke. At three, I think we're seeing the most improved player on the team from 07-08.

A decisive win tomorrow makes Deltha O'Neil (he's Irish, right?) the happiest guy to get the axe all year. He couldn't have planned it better if he was Roger Goodevening aka "The Fixer".

Anyway, I have no doubt this will prove to have been a horribly misguided post when I re-read it in the morning. Luckily, it will be buried by the proper game-day thread and a couple dozen "if Cassel throws a pick, they better get O'Connell in there" threads.

Predictions (offering you numerous opportunities to mock me):

  • BJGELMNOP will make us forget about Larry Mahoney.
  • Cassel Grayskull hits three TDs again, one a deep burner to Moss, and only gets sacked twice.
  • Bill cements his new policy that 4th and inches will be followed by 1st and 10.
  • JSn gets demolished in "predict the score" again by stupidly not assuming a Pats blowout of the Rams, 48-10

G'night guys and be gentle. I fully expect to NOT remember typing this in the morning.

Everything seemed possible until the "Cassel ... only gets sacked twice." bit.

He'll be sacked at LEAST 4 times, knowing him.

Well, I didn't blow the doors off the predictionizing, BUT I will pass out a little something for Mr. Phlash:

He was sacked twice and ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage which I believe is technically ruled as a #3 sack, but really...

BJGE didn't actually look too bad out there and he did plow through for a TD, so I guess that's more than we can say for LoMo THIS year, but I don't fall into the core group that says he's a bust. We'll see what happens next year.

Upside, I got closer in the predict the score contest by NOT assuming a blowout. Phew.

Sniffing glue with teenagers can be very dangerous to your posting coherency, especially when your nose gets stuck to the keyboard... ;)

EDIT: Oops, sorry JSn, I should have checked the OP first...great job, one of your best efforts. :p
