Evidently Nick's back in practice.

I'd like to see him at RG, personally. Would anyone hate to try that out?

Light, Mankins, Koppen, Kaczur, LeVoir

Now some of you know more about natural positions than I do (maybe all of you). How would you situate the starting O-Line based on all the available personnel?

actually, thats not a bad idea...

i wanna get yates out of there as quick as possible, and if kazcur is better then yates at RG and Levoir is no or very little dropof at RT, then go for it...

Not sure why you want Neal out.

If Kaczur and Neal are ready to go for real, the line will be back to last year - and thank God for that.

Light. Mankins. Koppen. Neal. Kaczur.

I'm no fan of Kaczur and understand that it's not a great run blocking line and that Brady made the pass blocking look better than it really was. But we have had a bunch of sacks due to missed assignments and just piss poor play.

I see no reasonable alternative to the above when they'll ready to play - hopefully this week.

I don't have a problem moving Kazcur to guard, but why would you start him over Neal? I wouldn't mind seeing Kazcur out of the starting line up all together.

If they were going to move Kaczur to Guard, it would've been while Neal was out. I was an advocate of moving him there if Neal was going to miss some or most of the season, and they did have him there in mini camps, but obviously when they didn't draft an RT, they couldn't afford to make such a move.

Neal is a good guard, especially as a run blocker, so as long as he's healthy he starts.

Kaczur looked really good at LT in his rookie season when he replaced an injured Light, he looked good at RT for a while, and has had some struggles since. I remember reading some scout cite him as the weak link and say teams were targeting him in the latter part of the season. If that's the case, then it's worth upgrading the position in the offseason, but he's adequate there for now.

Kaczur isn't going to take Neal's RG spot...I can't even begin to understand THAT take...and as far as returning to RT,from what I've seen from Kaczur this season I'd rather play Levoir. Should be interesting to see what they come up with

I'm right there with you. LeVoir was doing a far better job anyway, IMHO.

I'd like to find out if Neal is a weaker link than we suspect. Problem it, I think we have two solid LT's, so what do you do with the spare?

I'd take Nick over Stephen for a handful of snaps to diagnose a problem, personally. I'm not hating on Neal, I just think some of you over-value him and have not carefully observed Kaczur.

Of course BB is going to put the best players on the field, not alternate them so JSN can from an opinion

See, even Mods can get into the act of hitting submit without much thought. ;)

So is this a sort of spec I'm not allowed to make or discuss? The rules are getting fuzzy...

I'm not a huge fan of Kaczur. May the best man win the job. If it's Levoir, I wouldn't be surprised.

I hate the give the conversation ending "IBBWT" answer but Belichick isn't shy about letting guys go and I think he told us how he felt about Neal when he re-signed him to 4 years/$10M two years back. I understand that's not huge money but it's a legit comittment (it came with a $3.2M signing bonus) and was more money back in 2006 than it sounds now.

Belichick wouldn't have signed him for 4 years at starter money if he were the weak link.

Nick Back-up Kaczur back is not a good thing...i would like to see that kid they had playing at RT Monday Night.

JSn: are you Nick Kaczur's cousin or something? I am miffed how you could project him at Guard. He suck's at pulling i have never seen him move a actual Defender off the line in the Straight ahead run game. To top it off he's nothing more than a two second speed bump if that for his Defender to get to our QB. Somebody please tell what does Nick Kaczur brings to the table again? That guy should not be starting for a team who have post season aspirations.

Kaczur is Canadian. Nuff said!
We're playing football, not hiting pucks, racing dogsleds or shooting carribou here. Sheesh!

Why would Neal be the weak link in the line? If anything, the line stabilized when he got into the game on Monday night. Neal may be the strongest link in the line, almost certainly on the right side of the line.
