Pats press release said:
Today, ESPN cited an unnamed source who supposedly expressed the feelings of the Patriots ‘organization.’ This unsubstantiated report does not represent the team's views whatsoever. We have supported Tom Brady one hundred percent from day one of this process and will continue to do so. We issued a statement last Saturday expressing our complete organizational support for Tom. That support includes all aspects of the process. Unfortunately, our statement was not mentioned or referenced in ESPN’s report. Today, we reiterate our total support for Tom as he recovers from his injury.

It amazes me how ESPN gets away with this crap, it shouldn't....but it does.

Oh come on now....they are the "Worldwide Leader in Sports"

They are gods in being sports journalists.

And they handeled Spygate with kid gloves!!

Every Stupid Pr!ck Nationwide is a complete laughingstock

here is the stupid thing...they ignored the favre story saying it wasnt credible but somehow knew the pats were unhappy. Now that the pats released the statement , lets see what they say. probably will ignore it.

They will irgnore it because it actually explains the situation. Its not the TMZ information that EPSN likes to feed on.

:yeahthat: I checked just to see if they happen to mention the refute, and of course not, but they did remove the "Pats are angry" headline.

They should have left it up....

We are still very angry.....

good **** espn they are a bunch of.....well we know what they are. they are more of a gossip network than a sports news network at this point. a good example is when the viks were getting in trouble about talking with favre, espn had on the bottom of the screen that the vikings had a press confernece comming up later that day. of course they want people to think it is a favre related one...but it just a typical preseason press conference that every team in the league has...just that the tease sounds good when they use the vikings.

I look at ESPN at more of an entertainment sports network. I check their site out but almost never take them seriously. Their agenda on certain things is pretty clear.

I more or less get a kick out of them, how they handle and don't handle certain stories, and some of the expert analysis.

I enjoy Berman and I don't even mind Jackson (as he gets older he should be more careful about his strong opinions, and that BB incident, I am sure he regrets saying that and if he dosen't he should).

The network as a whole though, whoever manges what content, and what gets posted. This is where they wanna push the entertainment button.

I don't really see it as a credible sports organization...

Hmm yeah interesting.... not enough evidence to report on Favre sharing playbook info, but someone in the Pats organization might be mad he had his knee surgery in CA! Perfect! That's clearly more important than NFL espionage!

Someone should set the ESPN studios on fire.

FTA:
A person close to Brady told ESPN: "Tom is looking at months, not weeks, to fix this."

WELL NO CRAP. Its a knee surgery!

The way it's written in the article, it makes it sound like weeks was the original plan and that now "OMG ITS MONTHS OH NO".

It was always months, was always going to be months, and always will be months.

Also, I wonder what their criteria for "close" to Tom Brady is. Do they mean geographically close?

Agreed-it IS nice to see the Pats refute this:mad:

After the Matt Walsh fiasco you'd think BSPN would have learned to stop riding the Herald's coattails. SOS, different day

Pay no attention to Lord Farve being a ****wad and us running cover for him.

Lookie we got a new scandal for you featuring the evil cheating Patriots and their bum dressing coach.
