Ok, with the Culpepper out there saying "he has been contacted" why not speculate about this? At the very least it should set off a complete hornet's nest and amuse me for the rest of work ... :)

But if Matt Cassel continues to look less-than-stellar at the goal line and the team has to keep settling for FGs the Pats will not be long for the playoffs. I think that is a given.

Say what you want about Culpepper, but he is $$$ inside the 10. I don't have any stats, but I'm sure they would back me up. :)

Anyway, how would you feel about him being brought in and being used situational as a GL QB? It's just crazy & unorthodox enough that BB might do it. Obviously this is pure speculation and isn't going to happen, but an interesting scenario to discuss nonetheless ...

I honestly don't know how I'd feel about it. I think that the team's future plans with Cassel would be at the heart of it: if they feel they want to try to keep him on as a backup and use this season to develop him and then re-sign him, no way you do it and stunt his development; but if they just want to use him this year and be done with him, it's not as crazy of an option ...

Hasn't Culpepper been out of the game for over a year, and who would you drop to open up a roster spot??

To fill a spot based on an unknown makes little sense.

In theory you could drop Gurtz.

But I agree. This may be the dumbest idea posted in a while, and give how dumb the ideas here tend to be thats saying something.

lol... so you say to Cassel and the offense, you go drive me down the field, and then when it's time to have the satisfaction of putting points on the board, I'm going to put in some hasbeen off the streets. This is ridiculous.

*Imagines all of the goal line fumbles*

No thanks.

What is frigging wrong with people????

:deadhorse:

Haha, one star already. Outstanding. Yeah, I know it's a totally ******ed idea, but popped into my head at work. Of course it's stupid and would never happen, but what will be interesting if is whoever drafts Tebow uses him in that way as a rookie. Worked for the Gators his freshman year...

Nice post. Original idea. Nice when someone brings something to this forum besides childish insults. Keep up the good work.

Can Culepper play RB?

Once in the Red Zone, we could have Culp drop back REALLY deep and throw a 60 yd BOMB to Moss! Yeah!!!!

Goodness. That's nuts.

Yeah... and what if Eleanor Roosevelt could fly? She could've put props on her tits and led bombing missions over Germany in WWII!

Let's pretend, just this once, that Coach has a pretty good grasp on what the team needs, okay?

However, I seriously encourage you to write up your suggestions and send them in to the Front Office (their addy is on the Pat's website) for their consideration... Let us know if they respond, mkay?

Fantasy football should have it's own forum:p

You have way too much time on your hands. I cannot believe you actually spent a second even thinking about this. You should work for FESPN. That said, I am an idiot for not only reading this thread but posting on it.
