Was Morris's 138 yards for a RB in the first half the most ever for the Pats?

Any geek out there have the answer?

I can't remember any RB on this teams history ever to have run for more yardage in one FIRST half than Morris did Monday night.

Refresh my memory if anyone can - The only RB I can remember to have had a similar performance in the first half was John Stephens or Robert Edwards a decade or so ago but I don't think they toppled 138.

Robert Edwards had over 150 in a half, don't remember if it was the first half though.

Edit: Looked it up... He had 116 in the first quarter against the Rams his rookie season, and finished with 163 for the half and 196 total.

Great, now someone is going to start a sign Robert Edwards thread

While you are at it, was most yards in a game Don Calhoun subbing for Sam Bam?

I believe it was Tony Collins, since that's who was mentioned the other night when Morris got off to the hot start. A quick check reveals that he had 212 in a game, and my memory doesn't go back that far, but I can't remember that total being eclipsed since. Robert Edwards huge day against the Rams sticks in my memory because I was sure the team had replaced and maybe even upgraded from Curtis Martin, and then his career basically ended at the Pro Bowl that year on the beach.

That incident has me cringe everytime I hear of a player at the beach.

I don't know about his career ending - Isn't he tearing up the CFL right now?

A football career is a football career even if its not the NFL
