The Viking in the stand??

My guess is Randy Moss.

Thats Syd, he's a friend of Randys from the Viking days.
Viking Fanatic
Randy used to always jump into the stands where he was after TDS.

He was hanging out with the guys from WEEI before the game, evidently he is a VERY large man.

Man. And I thought he was just some crazy dude that wouldn't let Randy go!

It looked like he was trying to pull him into the stands and run away with Randy.

Pretty funny....I did hear that the EEI crew had talked with him before the game...

Looks a bit like Thunderlips to me.

LOL, yeah, now that you mention it. That was pretty kool though that a Viking fan cheering for one of our players and team to win. Maybe we should keep him around for Randy.

I agree. I would love to know if that Bubble screen, that Randy never runs, was run as a chance to get him into his arms.

Yeah, makes sense. I think Randy "had" something to do with it anyway. JMO. If having Syd here or on the road with us and it make Randy happy, then I'm all for it. I think we may have room for another mascot. LOL. Humm, wonder if he can play safety or an O-line position also? Guy's a mountain.

It's hard to let someone go when you have their name tattooed on your arm!

Randy said he had asked to run the play, we saw Welker and Stallworth run that play MANY times last year.

Either way, this makes for a GREAT story that I have not seen anywhere else - It's a PatsFans EXCLUSIVE!

Cool story...I was wondering what many others were ("Is that dude trying to pull Moss into the stands or something?!?").

The real question for me now is: what did Randy say to Syd about why he was no longer with the Vikings? I'm not about to buy a Vikings book to find out but I'd definitely like to know.

I actually met him while in Canton. That guy is a lunatic (in a funny way though). By far and away the biggest Viking fan I have ever met. I got a good crack out of the fact that he was in the stand watching the Pats.

To let you know how much of a lunatic this guy is. He is Canadian (from Winnipeg). A locomotive operator for one of the National train lines in Canada. Has been a Viking season ticket holder for ever and makes the 6 hour drive from Winnipeg to Minneapolis to attend these games. That is dedication.

He was at the All Pro tent before and after the game, nice guy. He is into his alter ego and he is a VERY large guy. He came to the game to see Randy Moss, Moss got him the seats at the front of the endzone just so he would have a chance to do the jump. He's got a tattoo on his arm for every venue he has visited to see Randy Moss, he also has a Moss autograph tattooed on his arm.
