I sure hope nobody thought I wouldn't show up after the loss, especially that one.

Bad, BAD game on our end as well as a GREAT game on your end...as the saying goes, no team is as bad as they look in a loss, no team is a great as they appear in a win. I think that sums it up pretty nicely.

Patriots just had the right gameplan offensively and tore apart the Broncos D.

It's hard to say whether or not the defensive gameplanning was great, because Denver was forced to run the ball a lot more than planned in the first half...and by the second half, it was too late.

--Patriots better hope Morris is alright, that game was great for his confidence
--You can thank us for helping Cassel's confidence skyrocket...wouldn't be surprised if he puts up decent numbers this year.
--Patriots pass blocking is horrendous. What did we have, like 6 sacks? And that's usually our weakness!
--I doubt, and I'm sure you agree, Moss does that well if Bailey doesn't get hurt and Bly never covered him.
--Patriots should make the playoffs, though I still see them as a wild card losing out to Buffalo, but finishing 10-6 or 11-5.

I'm pretty disappointed we couldn't show you the typical passing offense the Broncos normally have, but stuff like that happens and we couldn't adjust offensively, so no excuses here.

I still think Denver makes the playoffs at 10-6. Whether that's a wild card or a division title I don't know, but I've said it since Week 1 and I'm sticking with it.

However, if it is the division title, we'd likely be the fourth seed. If the Patriots finish 11-5 and don't win the division, they'd be the fifth.

Which means a rematch. In Denver. Hopefully with Cutler, Marshall, Royal Stokely, Scheffler, and everyone else healthy.

It's a match up I'd ABSOLUTELY look forward to. :D

Well, I'm sure Gostkowski would look forward to it too. At that altitude, his kickoffs might accidentally achieve liftoff. :)

Denver will not make the playoffs. Not with that defense. And yes, the Pats O-line may be the worst in the league. They may be year 2000 bad when it was a patchwork line. As much as Cassel holds onto the ball for too long, there have been too many hike sacks for that O-line.

You know your O-line is bad when you give up 6 six sacks to a team that is the worst in the league at getting after the QB.

The thing is, it's not enough for Denver to suck; others must non-suck. Nobody else in the AFCW is even at .500. If Cutler and C. Bailey can get back healthy in a hurry, Denver should stick around.

That's why I believe they will still make the playoffs.

Yes there defense sucks, but it's not nearly as terrible as it was yesterday. Keep in mind, when you turn the ball over 5 times it puts your defense in a lot of unfavorable positions.

After the bye, when they're healthy, they have a 6 game stretch where they play:

Vs. Miami
@ Cleveland
@ Atlanta
Vs. Oakland
@ Jets
vs. Kansas City

I think they will take care of the three home games (Miami's pass defense is terrible, and with Cutler and the rest of the WRs healthy, their offense should finally return to its early season form), and at least one of the road games.

The 4-2 (or better) stretch would leave them at 8-5.

There last three games are tough:

@ Car
Vs. BUF
@ SD

But I still see them winning at least one (I think two) of the three and finishing 9-7 or 10-6.

Either one wins the division I think...the Chargers would have to go 7-2 the rest of the way JUST to get to 10-6.

Lots of things could happen, it all depends on which teams get hot at which times, but for now, I wouldn't be shocked if the Pats and Broncos met again later this year. And I would be willing to guarantee it doesn't turn out like last night.

Nice backhanded compliment.

I agree....SD has to go to London and they MAY beat NO..but...after NO (london) a bye and KC-H three tough games...Pitts...Indy...Atl...They play Oak and KC...but fiish with TB and Den...and they HAVE to win that denver game. NOT happening.

Denver is still the favorite to win the division. I think at this point we should be the favorite to be the #5 seed at 10-6 or 11-5 as the poster said. Someone will be #6, probably the jags.

Yes, Ghost would like the altitude. The Oakland kicker must be good from 65 in Denver! I don't think I have ever heard of a kicker who all agreed was favored at 57 yards at sea level.

That 57 ydr made it through without issue(it hit the net behind the goalposts), my guess is he could hit a 70 ydr if the conditions were right in Denver.

Kicking it straight enough may be a different issue, but leg strength sure isn't.

The Broncos kicker, Matt Prater, who has quite a strong leg has kicked 70 yarders in practice, and he mentioned a few weeks ago that he may wind up kicking one from 64 this year to try to break the record if the circumstances are appropriate.

If he can kick one from 70, I think Janikowski could hit from maybe 73-75.
